This is my setup in progress. In the market for 2 CDJ200s. For now I just attempt to blend tracks at similar BPM. Also working with all of the effects. Couldn't pass up the mixer @ $300. Works flawlessly.

Why dont you get some free dj software so you can practice beatmatching?
You could play a track on your discman or from the radio and then match the track from your laptop to it.

I just got a pitch slider for winamp but it sucks. What kind of free DJ software can you reccomend?

Also.... random question.... my mixer is... shocking me. Its literally sending a small electrical current into me sometimes when I haven't touched it for a while.... is this normal?

I'm still wondering what I'm going to do with the extra channels. Maybe a cheap TT and Abelton are in my future... not sure. Need to get those 200's first.

don't know about the 3000 (discontinued btw) vs the 600 but the 400 and 800 are more than considerably difference (hence the $1000 price difference lol)

I was initially going to pick up a new or used 400 until I found the 3k. I'm wondering how much better the 400 is vs. the 3k. I figure its a lot more refined, I'd imagine the effects are better... actually I have no idea. I've looked @ the specs sheets but my noobness can't really decipher them.

Have to wait til Xmas to get 1! CDJ200. The other, who knows.
