I am also concerned about your cholesterol. you shouldnt exceed around 250 mg of cholesterol per day and 1 egg usually has close to 200 (i know you are using egg whites which have nil cholesterol but there are also eggs with yolk in your diet). And some protein shakes have loads of cholesterol so i would watch out. Nothing worse then having your diet and workout routine messed up by a failing liver. Or a heart attack. Not enough real food as well. keep in mind its not all about getting the protein. You need nutrients and carbs as well. You're diet looks like extreme supplementation.

I would be careful about that.

All the cholesterol in eggs comes from the yolks and I'm only having three a day. The Protein powder has 5mg a serving. All these supplements are from Beverly International, the best shit out there. It's what all the pros use.

With all the protein combined from the powders is only 140g. I currently weigh 198 My eggs all together is about 36g (since I can't eat that much) then with the tuna and oatmeal patties puts me around my weight so I should be good. I'm not too worried about my carbs it's around the same as I was eating before. We'll see, good looking out though.

This is an ongoing argument whether dietary cholesterol from eggs causes plaque buildup, high blood cholesterol, etc...and the latest is that it does not. Seems to be more of a genetic predisposition for it. I don't have any case studies on hand, but google a few and check it out if u don't believe me

its kind of difficult to really find out when dietary lables don't split up the ldl from the hdl. 250 is simply the recommended overall cholesterol daily intake. i was reading in at 5.7mmol/L which is very high for a 27 year old at the time. I should be looking at the 3 -4 range. I was trying to get protein from any source back then and consume as much calories as i could. Granted i did gain weight but the expense was increasing my cholesterol level amy prime age.

I'm just giving feedback from experience. I am probably genetically disposed to it would probably be safe to try to limit cholesterol intake in any sort of diet. Its simply excess strain on your body which can be avoided by selective dieting. The only way to really know is to get a test to see what you're reading.

np just putting in my 2 cents. The most important thing is that you actually feel healthy after that. I would reassess if you start to feel lethargic and overly tired.

I've read some stuff on body building which I think is what criss is looking for.

Part of the protien thing is to cut your intake to no more than 20 grams per hour, which is around your maximum intake, the rest will just pass through your system.

Also when you intake protien is critical. You are probably are of the pre workout and post workout protien intake.

But in addition to protien you should also intake sugar after your workout.

Recovery time is also an important factor. You should not work one muscle group more than once in a 48 hour period for focused growth, and you should not work a muscle in an associated exercise more than once in a 24 hour period.

Your body will break stuff down to produce energy. So in addition to getting protien you also need to keep your caloric intake or metabolic rate maintained, otherwise your body will break down its muscle in what is called self catabolism.

You shuold expect to gain around 3lbs for each 5lbs of muscle you build. While you can still attack that weight you should not only muscle gain but also some fat gain.

The thing is though you shouldn't expect to gain more than 20lbs in a year. This means 1lb or at most 2 lbs of muscle gain in a one month period.

In order to build muscle you must break muscle and regenerate it. What this means is you must actually do more than you can. You must also give yourself time to rest, and give yourself the right materials. Protien alone is not enough. You need to have a well balanced diets. Whole foods such as vegetables and fruits are great for this. Even roman gladiators diet was based around cereals. Oatmeal is a great source of both food energy and iron for your blood. Also remember to get plenty of fluid and rest.

If you intake more protein than you can absorb in a given time frame you will just filter out the rest. Also if you don't have other food energy your protein will be broken down for energy (creating gas - aka protien farts)

You should also be aware if your protein is iso or regular if it is iso it will pass through your system very quickly, and if your intake is more than the maximum intake rate you will just piss it out.

You can also take a look on "types of exercise" different workouts will target different muscle groups. Exercises for building size may not be the same as building muscle.

No way the body can put on 20lbs of muscle in 12 months without gear. Even with gear and HGH that's a long shot. We would all look like Jay Cutler

Have you actually read the entire nutritional information for one egg? Everybody seems to only notice the cholesterol. The first thing I noticed was practically every vitamin and mineral there is. Eggs are like nature's multivitamin. I think that in moderation they are probably the healthiest food in the world.

obviously, you are consuming an entire organism in one spoon full.

There is actually evidence to show that eating up to ONE egg a day does not significantly raise LDL levels for healthy men and women. But that's ONE egg, not fucking 11 or more, lol.

Posted by Nrg2Nfinit on Mar-09-2010 20:03:

true but incidentally egg whites do not contain cholesterol. Kinetic does have a point it does depend on how you metabolize the cholesterol. I could consume 2 eggs and be more prone to ldl arterial buildup then someone capable of better metabolizing that cholesterol.

Posted by Chris Crossland on Mar-09-2010 20:04:

Egg WHITES people. Whites. WHITE NIGGA! Bad stuffs in the yolks yo.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Mar-09-2010 20:05:

Of course. Men are naturally more prone to higher levels of LDL. And that increases if there's family history of heart disease.

Posted by Nrg2Nfinit on Mar-09-2010 21:45:

there may be a gender bias but more of a significance should be payed to family history.

You won't see results when it comes to size. Firstly, two months isn't long enough to develop significant amounts of muscle even if you were doing a dedicated hypertrophic regime. Secondly, you're losing lots of weight which means you'll be operating on a calorific deficit, and it's very very tough to gain muscle and burn fat. Thirdly, I strongly doubt this P90X programme is designed for bulking up anyway.

It's so foggy today and I planned on going for a run. The fog shouldn't stop me but it makes me feel tired, even though I slept 8.5 hours.

This is where my boyfriend would come in handy to slap me on the ass and tell me to get the fuck up and go. Nothing like a hint of S&M for motivation

Posted by Chris Crossland on Mar-10-2010 19:12:

I love running in heavy fog early in the morning! I pretend I'm running away from something scary lol.

Posted by Ania_xox on Mar-10-2010 19:47:

LOL

My best runs ever have been in thick fog or crazy rain storms.

Posted by Ania_xox on Mar-10-2010 19:58:

Rain storms yes

Once like 5 years ago it was noon and the sky was almost black, but I went out for a run anyway. About 20 mins in, it started pouring and there was sheet lightning. I was scared shitless and ran my legs off back home.
I remember collapsing on my livingroom floor with my mp3 player still going, some Paul Oakenfold song with Sarah Mclaughlin

the song, the darkness, the thunder
it was almost haunting

Posted by Chris Crossland on Mar-10-2010 20:07:

LOL

This one time when I was in Okinawa I went out for a run and it started raining. It was like a tropical storm. The wind was blowing so hard I couldn't run straight, it was so awesome! I love being challenged by nature, I've never ran so hard in my life, was truly exhilarating.
