I remember in the mid to late 90's there was headline in the sports column 'Newcastle the sleeping giants' my fucking arse more like
Best of luck to you geordies, however you've pissed millions up against the wall and never give managers a chance. The biggest problem with you lot is there is some deluded fans in your ranks and a board who is easily influenced.
In honor of Keegan's return
newcastle are shite and going nowhere near the top 4 anytime soon!

I was at the Arsenal game at Emirates on Tuesday night and oh my god, Newcastle were rubbish
Im really worried about our team, I do think a lot of it is a confidence issue though, but god, the defending was desperate at times, and Cacapa was putting in a Bramble like performance....
Im also worried about James Milner, he's one of our most creative players and a consistant performer, but I swear to god, he's going to get burnt out soon and get injured, he needs a rest!
I dont know where to start on Owen, we were just hoofing balls up field and hoping for the best.....
Sigh :-(

I know.....
not good times, maybe Keegan should get Dave from Newcastle as his assistant
Can someone explain why the Geordies at the bar I'm at are holding shoes aloft whilst down 3-0?

as a Newcastle fan I am DEEPLY concerned about my team.
I really fear that we could go down this season...

i just saw the latest bout of highlights... oh lord.
I watched this whole game live and honestly I felt like my eyes were gouged.
but congrats for Keegan and the Magpies for their first win in the Keegan era #2
the keegan!
ameobi?
I'll go out on a limb and say Newcastle will crack the top 10 next season
If they do it, it'll be without the help of Joey Barton for the first few months of the season. What a plonker.

Kinnear on his own as players get day off By Soccernet staff Updated: September 30, 2008, 6:26 AM ET The debacle at Newcastle United shows no sign of coming to an end as Joe Kinnear found an empty training ground on his first official day as interim manager. The former Wimbledon, Luton Town and Nottingham Forest boss was expected to begin work on reviving the team's fortunes after five consecutive defeats, but arrived on Monday to discover the squad had been given the day off. It is the latest in a catalogue of stunning developments on Tyneside as the club lurches from one disaster to another. Kinnear himself experienced it first hand the moment he arrived in Newcastle when no club official met him at the airport meaning he had to pay for a cab to take him to St James' Park. And then it transpired that the 61-year-old has a two-match touchline ban from his time at Forest four years ago for calling a referee 'Coco the Clown' which means he will not be able to take his place on the bench until October 20 - with his contract expiring on October 31. |
