rio has been having more than his share of defensive lapses lately, he better shape himself up else woodgate is going to knock him out of the english squad with the form hes showing at boro so far. You probably saw how he raped anelka

I still think evra can cut in the first team. Hes better than silvestre and heinze is out for the time being but i agree about brown and fletcher. Fletcher for sure is coca cola league material.

I have no clue Raveed, I think he injured his hand or arm earlier after the WC injury.

Brown needs to get his ass kicked..

i just noticed vidic started the reading game for us and we still drew ... january seems so far away now

He's played one game, and that's nothing. He'll need some time to get back into the game after his devestating injury in the World Cup. Give him some time, I'm sure he's going to prove himself if he doesn't get injured again.

Wes Brown is one of the most talented defenders about. He has been unlucky with injuries, but he is still class.

Vidic has proven nothing to me yet - from what I have seen he is good, but still not good enough to hold down a first team place. Give him time, but for a United fan to say he is better than Brown off of a handful of unconvincing performances is daft.

Judging someone after a couple of games in the Manchester United shirt is really not easy. He's been in England for less than a year and it takes time to get used to the play in the EPL. I can definetly say that Vidic is a player who's been unlucky aswell, For an example, He missed out on Serbias games in the World Cup, first due to a suspension, and then thanks to a serious injury.

He just came back from the injury, and will hopefully take Wes Browns place. I've never really had anything over for Brown, and I don't really think he as good as people is pointing out.

Congratulations on the win tonight!

Ferdinand/Vidic played pretty well together, although Benfica got a major chance when Vidic made things a little to harsh for himself in the first half.

Otherwise a pretty entertaining game between these two sides, Manchester United got the goal and got away with the win pretty safely even though Nuno Assis had that chance in the very last seconds after a stunning pass from Micolli.

Christiano Ronaldo looked great today again, He really plays it out against those teams. Rooney on the other hand didn't have anything, and Saha scored that beautiful goal, Great precision in the shot there!

Posted by fastmp3 on Sep-26-2006 20:56:

very beautiful goal by saha. apparently cristiano ronaldo is THE man this season (said by fergie himself)

Posted by raveed on Sep-27-2006 03:25:

good to see we made a little redemption by beating the team that put an end to our horrible european season last year...

vidij looked brutal except for that idiotic back pass that lukily didnt result in anything ... seriously defenders who head the ball back without being aware of whose lurking around should be made to sit on a donkey and pardaded around the ground if a goal results from their stupidity

cloud ronaldo was by far the man of the match and its good to see him start showing signs of maturity although he was trying to be a one man show at times today..moment he got the ball he used to just take of instead of seeing who is open around him for a pass

rooney was again a let down ...dunno how a 3 game suspension would affect his game so much considering his brilliant opening game.. and again i didnt see any aggression and ager from him so i really hope he isnt trying to adjust his game to please the media

team still doesnt look good enough to go all the way but for now we got 3 crucial away points

you should have seen real mandril's 4th goal

Posted by noikeee on Sep-27-2006 12:32:

Rooney is on horrible form, a couple more games like that and Fergie should really think about benching him.

Ronaldo and Saha are Man Utd right now.

Posted by zoric on Sep-27-2006 13:17:

Definetly.

I was impressed by Saha for the first time in a very long time, He fought like he always does, but even more important, He scored the goal winning goal, and it was very beautiful.

Love

Ronaldo is awesome.
