i actually have my car here so i don't walk with groceries. Brooklyn is *actually* drive-able. I work in the city though. I also think birth control is what's making me gain so much weight. I weigh 106 but wanna go down to my normal weight [100] !!!!!!!!

Will running really cause significant loss in mass/strength, even with suitable protien intake and weight workouts? The thing is, cutting isn't my only goal--I like to get out and run and sweat, and be in the best shape I can possibly be in (both in strength and cardio).

I'll definately give the incline treadmill a try, though. I know that distance running isn't the best fat burning workout becuase of the steady state effects.

when i saw you a couple weeks back at t-ny you looked fine, but i know how you feel about losing those last couple pounds...anyhow even though you live in brooklyn and have a car you'll STILL find yourself walking ESPECIALLY if you work in the city. once it gets warm you'll be in prospect park and stuff.

haha.. thanks.

but everything is fine i have skinny arms and legs but i used to be a beer drinker and all my fat goes to my face and body!!

so i got a tummy. gonna see if i can start running with Tom on the weekends to lose this teeny gut!

work it out...i'm excited for summer because my internship ends in a month and i'll be done with my masters by then too so i'll actually have time to exercise between looking for a real job

type not brand. You want the combined whey, egg, casein etc should be extended release multi type.

and to clarify, syntha is the easiest to drink. no fuckin clumpppps

also the ones with calories are for after strength training, the ones that are pure protein and your everything else

Besides PWO shake whey isn't a staple in your diet.

So from a general standpoint no. Some brands are better then others ( I like ON's whey) but in order to get bigger you need to eat whole foods. Chicken, tuna, lean beef, egg whites is the good stuff.

what is a good workout for abs, let me clarify that. im starting to do crunches... what is a good ammount to do? because i hear u can overwork ur muscles. im doing 10 reps of 10. i could do more but i dont want to overworkout, and 10 reps of 10 doesnt really tire me


any help?

i heard you shouldn't really be losing more than 2lbs in a week but as long as you aren't abusing your body to lose the weight why not.

Eh, I haven't gone to gym in 2-3 weeks now. Really feeling guilty about it, especially since summer is coming... But what can I do, school is more important. I'll try to hit it next week and try to keep a constant routine for a little longer than last few months.

Here's something interesting I heard:

Every person has a muscle group that is superior and a muscle group that is inferior compared to the rest of the body. Well, not totally superior and inferior, but a bit more and a bit less developed than other muscle groups.

Now, here's the question... What are your most and least developed muscle groups? Also, what muscle group is your favorite generally speaking?

In my case, I think my chest isn't really strong, especially compared to how the rest of my body is developed. While I was in top shape I could bench press around 75 kg (165 lbs) 4-6 times while weighting around 63-65 kg (140-144 lbs). Now I could probably hardly do more than 60 kg (135 lbs).

Also, I'd like my calves to be bigger/stronger than they are. I'm pretty much satisfied with everything else. My favorites are probably biceps and latissimus dorsi. Oh, and I like my shoulders as well.

How about you guys (and girls)?

my back is my strongest i would dead lift 110kg. my back gets huge in a few weeks whereas my chest is very hard to develop as i would like it to maximum i got on that was 80kg but only for 2 reps.
