Posted by malek on Mar-20-2009 19:35:

fahad with his m3

that's why pakis shouldn't be allowed to drive German engineering.

Posted by ManiX on Mar-21-2009 01:11:

it is ugly...because it doesn't look like the usual Porsche car...and because the rear end looks like my grandma's butt...but the front part is ok...

it is also due to the fact brabus cars are notoriously terrible at putting power down. you can put as much power as you like into an m3, and put some rediculous back wheels onnit - but it will still be rubbish to drive

Posted by Moongoose on Mar-22-2009 00:26:

A M car that is rubbish to drive? I dont think something like that exists.

ITS NOT AN M CAR!@!

its an m car that was torn apart and given more power and less handling than possible. it looks cool, has a shitton of power and huge wheels. still doesnt go anywhere with any verve|

(there is a reason that the m3 doesnt have 600 hp, and its not because bmw couldnt make it happen, its because its pointless)

Brabus is Mercedes, like my van . And Brabus and M cars are fine at putting power down, you just have to know how to handle a car unlike the guy in the m3

Knowing how to handle a car only goes so far if the suspension is utter shit for the power available.

yea it's a must for my bf. i haven't had a stick shift since high school but i know how to drive them without a problem so i don't care about that part. he's helping me with a down payment and the monthly payments. i'll be driving it for the most part but he's foaming at the mouth over his new toy. hopefully he won't beat it up too bad

lol

Only thing I hope you DON'T do, is your using the e-brake on a hill routine. That is for n00bs not people who know how to drive stick.

edit//Watch the drivers seat. The leather is already about to crack. Keep it moisturized well.

yea for sure i'll be taking very good care of it and so will my bf. he worked on cars for the first 4 years he was down here. all japanese and custom shit and this is a big deal for him to have this car.

i really hope it works out. i mean the guy called us back and said "it's done you're approved, bla bla" and gave us some figures over the phoone, but we haven't like sat down and looked at all the numbers on paper, etc... gonna do that tomorrow after work because he's closed this afternoon. so it's like 90% done. we'll see though.

*edit*
the color looks 10 x better in person. i wasn't crazy about the color when i just saw the pictures online...it looks like it has some blue in it in the pictures, but it's all gray/metallic and looks different in person.

Well just had to make sure. That is the thing people do NOT think about. The leather looks relatively okay, but when you can see lines in it like that, you know the previous owner didn't take care of it well. That is a HUGE sign of prolonged dryness.

Also, don't forget to factor in insurance, gas, etc when you run the numbers. Your insurance is going to go up, but by how much? And you are going from a 4cyl turbo to a v6. Both take premium, so no difference there, but the v6 will use a good amount more gas. And, last but not certainly least, maintenance. Make sure to have at least $500 put away for random maintenance that HAS to be done asap. That car is not cheap to maintain. Then again, you own a German car now, so it is probably very similar.

yea i know...it's an 05, what are you gonna do ya know? it's in mint condition and checked out on car facts. and TRUST ME when i say that it's all under control not because of me though, because of my bf lol he has been going through numbers and specs for like 2 weeks now (insurance figures included). he knows what he's doing and he also worked on japanese cars for the first 4 years of him being here. all custom shit...nissan and masda. he'll be able to do most of the routine maintenance himself. and it's still under warranty.

but i appreciate the advice

CarFax is only 70% correct.

But good that he is going over all that shit, but what are you going to do if it doesn't work out? Just saying you know.
