(I have had Grand Cru actually, and while it isn't as bad as regular Hoegaarden, it's still far from anything that could be considered a desirable flavor)

Maybe you just don't like that style of beer? I certainly wouldn't say it's the best I've ever had (even in that style) it's far from being in any way nasty.

and an excuse for my drinking these buds: I was golfing on saturday (don't get me started here) with two friends, drinking. I grabbed some of the extras but I don't want any potential guests to see budweiser in my fridge so my only recourse is to drink the 4 of these as quickly as possible. Because, who knows, maybe I'll have guests sometime soon.

recent tryouts:

^a nice chocolatey, slightly roasty porter.

^really good. very hop-forward like an IPA but also has some wheaty sweetness like a hefeweisen almost. good stuff.

this past summer i turned my younger brother (he's 20) onto craft beers with that one. it was fantastic. he'd always try new beers with me but never ask for more. we'd watch movies at home and head out to get beers before. after trying it the first time he started asking me to get the sumpin' sumpin' along with anything similar so he could find more he liked hahaha
