Worst fucking work out ever today. I was all pumped to do deadlifts, but my fucking bf tightened the cap too tight on the end of the weights and I couldn't get the plates off. Then my fucking mp3 player died, also because my fucking bf used it last time and neglected to charge it after. RAAAAAGE.

Lol, that's exactly what I tried to do. I was already halfway through my workout though and wasting time at that point. I kept cursing what a stupid fucking asshole my bf was, lol.
I was really looking forward to today's workout.
I did yoga today. I was in a puddle of sweat, my fingers actually got pruned.
Good stuff.
it's 104 degrees outside. you can't fucking run in this shit
80 degrees here, going to walk my 3mi to the gym do upper body and 3mi back
. looking forward to it!
lifted instead. i feel sore. but good!
Picked up my first workout-related injury in four years yesterday: a minor calf strain. It's fine to walk on but hurts when I try and run. I should probably do a more rigorous warm-up.
warm up and stretching are your friend but all in all you are lucky if you haven't had any injuries in 4 years. i feel like i'm nursing something almost as much as i'm not
That's because you use machines.
first run in new shoes. ended up getting hot feet at mile 1.4. another 1.86 miles today though...gotta keep doing it!
also, great website for running and calculating your distances. i think i've posted it before, but in case not...

Did Insanity's Pure Cardio, ran a mile to test out my Vibram Five Fingers, and finished up doing Ab Ripper X. I'm whipped!
Got a new heart monitor today also. It's badass, it's strapless and goes on your forearm. According to it I burned 875 calories, 3013 daily calories, and ate 1700 calories. Not a bad day at all! I think I'm going to be hurting tomorrow...
cant wait to return to my regular self. btw been in the gymn alot lately..took me no time to regain what i lost after all my surgeries...im fuckin ripped, cardio is hard for me but i use the bike and a lil bit of eliptical...trying to watch what i eat to keep my belly down. once i can start running...watch out
I'm now consistently running for an hour, and I'm incorporating a lot of hill running into that time. My calves are seriously sore the day after. I'm having the weekend off though, because a buddy from out of town is visiting and we'll spend the whole weekend eating like shit and lazing around.
I tried to do the advanced plank yesterday where you lift up opposite arms and legs so you balance on one leg and the opposite arm.
Now, I've always had strong abs and can do normal planks with relative ease but holy shiiiiiiiit, this exercise is fucked up. Not only is it as difficult as fuck to do, but your balance needs to be perfect.
I think I'll be doing a lot of this from now on. Works your obliques and whole core sooooooooo well.

After taking a couple weeks off, I'm back in the workout saddle. Ran 2 miles this morning along with a couple hundred situps. Going to swim this afternoon after teaching swim lessons. Does anyone else here try to swim on a regular basis for exercise?
During summer, hell yea. I really should swim in the pool more in winter. Swimming is a fantastic exercise and really good for your posture too.
Absolutely. Swimming is so personal to me, since I did it competitively for so long. I feel like when I'm in the water swimming, it's a place where everything makes sense and nothing can go wrong. Except, you know, drowning of course.
Destroyed myself today. Burned 1082 calories.
I should have never stopped doing push ups.
