Mate are you an idot!!

Argentina played 70 minutes of the "beautiful game" until they decided to take off there attacking players and bring on defensive players. Had they brought on Messi and Saviola and had trusted the way they had played through-out the world cup it would have never allowed the Germans to score a goal. This meant that Argentina were on the backfoot with a defensive team but when you get down to penalties it was all luck.

Either watch the game, or know what your talking about before making a stupid statement !!

Same with Engalnd, pretty even first half but without Deco they struggled in midfield to put on goal scoring opportunities and had to settle once with half chances outside the box. Couldn't believe how England put behing there shit performances and easily played there best game of the tournament but when you get down to penalties its all luck.

Italy played substancially better against weak opposition but this match was a top notch performance which especially showed how they attacked on the counterattack In the second half the defence was a little streched just before they scored there last two goals, they were in a bit of trouble with three chances that could have turned the match on its head

Portugal England game was boring, the Brasil France game was great, i have no idea how i managed to stay up considering i got two hours sleep the night before

Deserved or didnt deserve to win it, at the end of the day the immaturity of certain players once again cost the nation a chance at the holy grail.

Things to note from englands world cup campaign:

1. Why bring walcott if your not gonna use him.

2. Why have a coach who really didnt give a shit about England, evident throughout the tournament.

3. Their reliance on one player, no balance in the team, no style of play, honestly headless chooks.

4. Owen Hargreaves, an absolute joke.

5. When players such as lampard, gerrard, joey cole etc have played pretty much for 24 months straight... the coach should of bought some youth some energy into the squad (evident by everytime lennon was played).


Dissapointed england went home, because i enjoys their fans passion and pride...but nearly every 4 years its like a benny hill show with some of the shit that comes out of the England Camp.

Who the fuck practices penalties? Penalties arent about skill. They are about nerve, confidence and mental steel. Practicing penalties puts you 1 step closer to missing them imo.

Owen hargraves was englands best player last nite, and has been great all tournament, he is sure to have silenced his critics.

Sven should have bought theo wallcot on in the last 10 mins, inject the game with some pace, scare the pork n cheese defence with his pace

I watched the game, and didn't see much of substance from argentina. yes they should have brought messi on and shouldn't have taken riquelme off but they are the 'what ifs' that will always be there in football. based on what actually happenned, argentina are all show and little end product (except against an extremely poor serbia side)

Gutted for england, losing on penalties is always devastating and never gets any easier! i really can't tell whether the rooney 'stamp' was intentional or not but the ref thought it was so off he went, fair enough. at the end of the day we didn't do enough to win the match and never had any attacking creativity in the whole tournament. crouch should have played from the start for a blatantly out of form and low on confidence lampard. rooney is wasted up front on his own.

And anyone who still thinks owen hargreaves is crap has absolutely no understanding of the game! no use even arguing with people like that.
