this is why I want a research department at my disposal.

Yeah, I really wish Oakland would have won that year, solely because of Rich Gannon. What a shame.

late post by me ..

sad the rockets lost saturday night. i was really expecting them to create a haystorm in the playoffs ...

interesting to see the warriors-jazz matchup. two different styles of play here. i give the edge to the warriors. if they come out of this series, and reach the western conf finals, i would definately have the wtf face going on ...

pistons and bulls proved one point. both teams have good defenses, but pistons is better at the moment....

go spurs. a very entertaining match today. at the end, san antonio had enough stops to come away with a victory.

and that other game cavs-nets ..........

good to be from Detroit these days:

- 2006 World Series runner-up

- 2007 NBA-Finals ?

- 2007 NHL-Finals ?

Detroit franchises > New York franchises

The Suns looked dominant last night. I think the Spurs are on their heels a bit going back to San Antonio. Nash is on a mission, and refuses to lose. I still like Golden State's chances against Utah, but they HAVE to start playing defense again. The Cavs and Pistons both just need to close out at this point. Is it just me, or is the Western Conference 20 times more exciting than the East?

Posted by LeopoldStotch on May-10-2007 03:35:

i am surprised the jazz are keeping up with golden state's pace in this series. also, like the mavs had no answer for davis and richardson, the warriors have no answer for okur and boozer. these 2 guys are key players for the jazz, who missed a lot of games last year. the jazz could have been a better team last year, if okur and boozer didn't go down to injuries.

Posted by fmodena369 on May-10-2007 06:13:

We'll see how the Jazz do over in the Bay, the Rockets v Jazz series was dominated by the home team (except game 7). I'm expecting the Jazz to lose Game 3 and then win out to meet the Spurs in the Western Conference championship. The suns were definitely NOT dominate in Game 2, it was a MUST win or go home game in which the Suns couldn't have possibly have lost. Tim Duncan dominated the Suns and got absolutely NO help from any other teammate. Suns wanted the game more and they won it, now the entire series is in the Spurs' hands, thats the last team you want holding the future of your team in their grasp.

i really thought the bulls would give the pistons a run for their money in this series. wow are the pistons toying with them right now.

GOLDEN STATE

Posted by LeopoldStotch on May-12-2007 15:52:

davis made 3 unbelievable plays last night. 1 was that dunk. he also did a 360 in the air to avoid okur and made the layup plus the foul. the 3rd was avoiding okur's body under the basket, going under the basket while in the air, and still made a reverse layup.

just unbelievable. if injuries didn't shorten his career in the past, he is easily one of the top 5 point guards in the nba right now. he plays 110% every night, scores, passes, comes through in the clutch, and plays a little bit of defense when you need it (well maybe). dallas and utah have problems with this guy.

and just unbelievable what golden state did. 107 points after 3 quarters?

Posted by LeopoldStotch on May-12-2007 16:25:

oh btw, i didn't notice this before until now. golden state won 9 of their last 10 games at the end of the regular season. hot teams riding into the playoffs tend to usually do well, unless they meet a superior team.

spurs win. this was a statement game for them, showing they still have the edge over phoenix.

man talk about teams not being able to stop the other team's best big man. phoenix can't stop duncan right now, where he's posting above average numbers in this series. golden state have no answer currently for boozer and okur, while utah has no answer for richardson and davis. chicago can't stop any of detroit's starting 5. new jersey and cleveland is a blur to me. lol.

anyways, imo tayshaun prince is a top 5 small forward in the nba right now. i am shocked he doesn't get enough credit for the effort he puts out for detroit, and he didn't get an olympic invite for next year to represent usa. i know the other 29 nba teams are drooling over when he will become an unrestricted free agent.

Nah, Phoenix will win the next game. Nash wil own from the start in that game, not like yesterday with 0 points till half time. And Duncan will play shit because he didn't kill Gruul with his guild and that makes him sad.

About last game, Duncan was awesome, that must be said.

nah. i think his guild mates will start farming for pieces to make some nice epic tier 4 armor, and help timmy out with his toon. then they will down Gruul with no time wasted.

Spurs in 6...after suns are knocked out...going to be tons of rumbling between the organization, nash is gonna want changes JUST like kobe does, say goodbye to Marion his careers about 2 go downhill. Jazz in 7 cuz they have the last game at Utah.

Posted by Kapedano on May-13-2007 22:00:

Its a little too early to tell now. We need to win game 4. As for Jazz and Warriors, I really want the Warriors to win it, because they are less of a threat to the Spurs. They have no answer for Duncan. They are just a poor defensive team. In the East, well fuck, nobody cares really.
