Yup.. haha. damn, my mistake, I even compared with a google image.. missed one button in my comparison.

(Nor did I look at the left side of the mixer.. only the right.. )

I don't own the technics and the truth monitors but they're hanging out in my studio. The rest is mine.

The guy in the photo is our very own SPAWNmaster, Andrew Garcia, playing a wicked trance and techno set.

My next project is to build a DJ Booth. It's still cold in the northeast so I'm waiting till it gets warmer out.

LOL, thanks guys. I've been mixing over 15 years so believe me I've had my fair share of crappy equipment over the years.

What's funny is even though it's not a "booth" in the literal sense, it looks suprising clean and sleek where everything is.

Rotary DJM 800... I think I just did a little sex wee in my pants.

Posted by Marcus007 on Feb-26-2007 21:04:

Beautiful djm800 mate

shit

Glad you guys like the setup. SSL is the greatest thing to happen to DJ'Ing in a long time. I've only been using it for a year but I couldn't imagine going back to buying vinyl records. I love the fact that I can use it with the CDJ's one day, and 1200's another, depending on which mood I'm in. It's spot on, nothing more I can really say.

As far as the DJM, switching to the rotary's was another brilliant move. That mixer is really amazing and although pricey, gives you great rotary knobs & really intuitive (aka user friendly) effects in one package. I had a rane before it and while that mixer was also amazing, the 800 kicks things up a notch. Even my friends who know nothing about sound comment at how good the mixer sounds.

The DJ booth is the tough part. I don't like the CDJ's on stands so I have to keep the equipment close together in one line, or the reach gets a bit far to the techs. I've downloaded like a hundred pics of people's booths and haven't found a design that works yet. Ideally i'd like everything to be recessed and flush mounted to give a really clean look. I'm in no rush as I'd like to get it right. Appreciate all the positive comments.

How much $ for the rotary kit on the 800, if you don't mind?

Posted by demark on Feb-27-2007 03:15:

are those T.120 tts?

Posted by Trance Fission on Feb-27-2007 18:10:

DJ Elf.. actually there is only one area but it has room for two.. we usually mix at the same time so there is room for one person to be at the computer and the other to be at the mixer

blacknoizybox.. theyre t80s.. and the mixer is a denon x1500..
