was an ok movie, the ending was STUPID.. I mean ugh! Yeah if you have seen it you'd have to agree. Kinda cool to watch though-- but yeah ending ruined the movie for me.

Ryan Reynolds in it though, that saved them! :P

Knocked Up was average!

Watched dvd on the w.e, 'The Hurricane' with Denzel Washington in it.
Based on a novel & true story. Brilliant film, Denzel Washington is a gun! Such an emotional & gripping movie that portrays one man's injustices!

Anthony Hopkins new thriller 'Fracture' looks not too bad, saw the preview of it the other day.

Awesome movie: The Lookout.

Crap movie : Disturbia.

Fracture is a decent thriller thats well shot and very well written -not in the same league as an unfaithful, fatal attraction or perhaps a basic instinct but it is clever enough to keep you interested.

Hopkins did a great job, but i feel the lead attorney was incorrectly cast. Ryan Gosling's performance is fairly weak

7.5/10

wasnt too bad, guns/blood what more could you ask for, one of the lead chicks looked like jessica simpson which was distracting.
Wahlberg is a cutie aswell

Anyone see any MIFF movies yet??

Going to see "Yo" on Monday and then "Severence" on the Friday..

Thats only if the die hard movie scene buffs don't buy all the tickets first!!

Posted by Dean Millson on Aug-01-2007 11:58:

Yup

Saw Snow Angels on Saturday night which was fantastic (Kate Beckinsale ftw!)

Saw a doco on John Peel on Sunday evening - did you know he owned over 100,000 records when he died?

Saw my favourite film of the festival so far in Interview last night (on again next week).

Would love to see "Bella" but that's on Sunday afternoon and after Birthday/Jona celebrations on Saturday night i doubt i will.

"Grace Is Gone" looks interesting.

bEST mOVIE eVER.

do you have that DeLorian yet mate?

Posted by charlee on Aug-01-2007 12:02:

Doing a MIFF triple header next weekend with Interview on Friday night, Words from the City (Australian hip hop doco) on Saturday night and Manufacturing Dissent (Michael Moore doco) on Sunday night.

The Box Office at The Forum is very busy, people everywhere!

2 for 1 passes FTW!

i watched 'knocked up' today, loved it

by MIFF do you mean melbourne international film festival?

Posted by EgosXII on Aug-01-2007 14:14:

Saw simpsons yesterday: significantly better than i thought it would be (based on the last.... 10-odd seasons)-- reccomend it

yeah, saw knocked up recently too, pretty funny: not as good as 40-year-old virgin, but still pretty damn funny

Blades of glory is pretty good also, for a no-thought comedy
ferell = champion

We were tossing up going to see Interview or Severence.. CLASH! Might go and see Interview instead, now.

I wanna see some Next Gen films BUT THEY ALL SCREEN AT 1pm!! Aren't kids supposed to be in school at that time??

I also want to see "A hebrew lesson" but it clashes with "Yo".. It's like Gods Kitchen when all the good DJ's set times clash.

Anyone see "Night"??

Oh and just got back from the Simpsons movie.. I want a Spider Pig.

Posted by Aesthetic on Aug-05-2007 23:35:

oh my god the simpsons movie was so bad.

Ferris Buellers Day Off

After reading about how much of a cult classic it is I decided to watch it. Pretty funny movie, and Ferris' gf is HAWT.

Simpsons movie was very average.

Its now just the "homer does something stupid show". Boring shit. The only funny bit was when he was pretending to have a chainsaw.

Meanwhile, Aqua Team Hunger Force movie = hilarious. Randomness on a loose plot. It is stretched a bit as a movie length feature, but the start and the end make up for the boring middle.

Blades of Glory looks kinda shit, ive flicked through it and watched a couple scenes. But yer, all those type of films are getting pretty old and weak.

Everythings Gone Green is a very cool little film. Canadians have a decent sense of humour if this film is anything to go by. For anyone who has all thier friends getting real jobs/houses/wifes/families and you are still stuck in a rut.

oh im going to watch this on friday night

Last 2 nights watched:

Cashback - nice little UK film, it is a love story, but its not a soppy chick flick.

28 Weeks Later - damn good follow up to the first, it does seem slightly similar during the middle of the movie, but i wont give away anything, as its well worth a watch.
