hey orbax,
how long are your workouts lasting these days? i think i'm turning into a bitch when i comes to working out man. i never spend as much time down in the dungeon as i used to. i'm thinking about going crazy and busting out like olden times...
i think you should go crazy too floorfiller and post some pictures of you with your shirt off so we can properly judge your body and progress....

Here are my current workouts, just because im trying to get back into it after Alaska:
1x15 with 90lbs for latpulls
1x8 135 latpulls
that just kind of warms me up without using the muscles I want to hehe
DB press
1x12 60s
3x8 80s
1x4 90s
then I walk around breathing hard
4 sets till failure with pullups
3x8 with 70 lbs on each side for cable cross overs
3x8 135 lat pulls
4x15 what I have dubbed "roman situps" where I put the decline on the most declined and take 5 seconds to go back, then hold it for 2 then go up and curl and flex as hard as I can.
3x10 rope crunches to work serratus with 120 lbs.
Thats kind of it right now. Im mainly focusing on chest and back, because I think my arms are too big for my current chest size. I rest a day then go back to the gym and Ill change press to incline flies or whatever to keep it random. I wait 45 breaths between sets and will wait 2 minutes between exercises.
All in all im there for 30-45 minutes a day. My longest sessions are usually only an hour.
Reason: When you are cutting the sets to that close to eachother you tend to throw up if you try anything more. Ive been passing out lately and getting weak from so much blood being everywhere hehe. Legs are a seperate day, but Ive been doing hiking with weights and runs, so I havent been pushing too hard.
Sometimes if im feeling masochistic ill do a 3x350 on legs and then wait 15 minutes before I go into the aforementioned chest back.
I will also sometimes do bis and tris after I have done all my chest back, because I havent really been devoting days to them. Theyve been getting enough work from flies, pullups, presses, etc...to where I havent lost any density or bulk...actually, I havent worn a shirt in about 3 weeks and I put it on the other day and it was TIiiiiiight. Im getting bigger, which is cool, but I just need to focus focus focus on that chest, because its so bitchy right now.
so yeah, well call it 40 minutes 3 times a week.
hmmmm...i dunno i guess i'm just kinda missing the days when i was younger and would be down there for like two hours hammering. i just don't have the energy to do that anymore
. i just kinda feel like i've hit a plateau and i've gotten fatter from school and i dunno...something drastic needs to be done...
If I wait for full recovery between sets I can be there for hour and a half easy. I just like working out so hard that Im blasted for 2 days afterwards after 40 minutes. Im drenched in sweat and doing those sharp exhalations that are almost grunting on pretty much every rep after my first exercise. I dont stop, dont slow down, and just want to be unconscious after the whole ordeal.
People hate working out with me because they always need more time to recover between sets and exercises and im like DO SOME FUCKIN PULLUPS BITCH QUIT WHINING
hehe
oh and ive just eaten 3 eggs, a protein shake, and am on my second bowl of rolled oats ><. for lunch Ill have ciabatta roll (toasted) with 6 pieces of lunch meat, 3 lettuce leaves, half a tomato, half an avacado, salt pepper oil. Then Ill have another one. for dinner Ill have more oats and a hamburger, maybe some teryaki chicken. Around 9pm ill have another 2 bowls of oats.
Drinking lots of water all day long.
Ive gained a few lbs already in the last week and a half, and have almost no fat on me. I think the key ive been missing for the past however long is that i havent been eating oats! These things rule!

I hear yah. Working full time and dealing with crap all day can be a real drain. I was mainly exercising my Scottish Pride when I was doing full time if you know what I mean.
That didnt last too long though. Even though I was having half assed workouts because of the time and tiredness id just go in there and freakin do it.
The weird thing was that if I just drank some Diet Wired (energy drink) and decided that I was going to stay up for a while around 1 am Id get all pumped up and Id go on a crazy long run.
When I get too much sleep i turn into el bitch meister. I need to be tired and stuff every other day. Itll go between little sleep but very deep and long slumbering days. It tends to keep me awake longer.
I also found that waking up earlier if I wasnt going to bed later helped. Also let me squeeze in a light work out or something.
***
either way you cut it, work fuckin sucks and is hard to be awake after it. Its just a huge drain in the ass. I never felt as good as I did not working, thats for dang sure.
Ah well, thats why God made weekends.
You should just quit and be unemployed like me! You get a lot more free time hehe.
Ok I lied, i was gone all day and now im gonna leave for bellingham for some serious Event Horizon / opening ceremonies drinkage.
rangers suck compared to lalala

Orbax, are you just working your upper body? or lower body as well?
Just curious- because I'm trying to do both, but I noticed that if I only do one half for a week or so, I actually feel the results. I never feel like that when I work out my entire body. Haha- in a couple of months, I'll post up some before and after pictures. But, as of right now, you would think that you were looking at some "Feed The Hungry" foundation. (no offence =) I'm hoping that if I push myself enough that by Xmas time, I'll be "muscular" and by Summer of next year, "ripped."
yeah, im up to 170 from 135, so I know how it is hehe.
The thing is that you only have so much glycogen in your body for growth and meuscle operation. If you do all body in one day, youre doing nothing. Your body has stopped rebuilding long ago.
Thats also why you dont do cardio and weights in same day.
monday: chest back
Wednesday : biceps triceps forearms shoulders
Friday legs
weekend rest with tues and thurs cardio.
Eat right with lots of protein, and make sure to get a nice chunk of carbs after a work out and youll be rollin.
hmm.. maybe that's why? haha- I know this may sound dumb, but this is the first time I've ever worked out-- but I never do cardio. I always thought cardio just burned calories and made you skinny. I actually avoided cardio, but I'll try that setup you posted.
