They had at least a half-dozen cases out there, and I only bought one pack. How does this make you feel?

You've cut to the core of me.

I just don't get the point of beer that has almost no taste. I'm sure that's incredibly hard to achieve, and is considered impressive that they've concocted some 'perfect' blend of flavors, but it's not vodka, ffs. It can taste good. Let it.

Posted by srussell0018 on Oct-11-2011 16:48:

Oh I reckon it tastes plenty good mhmm

Posted by shaw on Oct-11-2011 17:20:

That Brewdog Hardcore IPA is better IMO.

Posted by srussell0018 on Oct-11-2011 17:24:

Brewdogingtons Hax IMO

I don't give a damn. It tastes good.

Btw, the La Fin du Monde there looked almost orange...like it was a bottle of caramel or something. What's up with that? It's usually darkish.

wait what? you don't taste any of the massive hop flavors in it?

Posted by srussell0018 on Oct-12-2011 02:26:

Shaw doesn't have what you might call "taste buds"

I taste hops, but that's about all. Is beer drinking supposed to be a quest for more/bigger hops? That's silly. #wino

Here is a comprehensive list of tastes I desire in my beer.

1. Hops

If you're tasting a style of beer that's meant to exhibit and is judged on its big hop taste then yes :P

I do like other, more complex styles, but my favorite so far are straight up super hoppy IPAs with as little other flavors as possible.

any of you doodz ever enjoy a hard cider?
i'm puttin back some of this right now: (a bomber)

haven't had any in a while. this one is alright. i was too stupid to pick up on the pear pictures all over the bottle to realize it was pear flavored, so that caught me by surprise... rofl

i used to really dig Original Sin. in fact, my name on beeradvocate is taken from that (tho i don't go on BA all that often anymore)

Cider has no place in this thread

Heathen!

my gf turned me on to Woodchuck. just had one of their Fall seasonals recently. interesting and pretty good. cinnamon and some other spices added. definitely "fall-like".

the store owner where i get my brews told me about one called Crispin. made with fresh pressed apples instead of concentrate. supposedly good when blended with certain beers as well.

i didn't wanna bring the alcoholics anonymous thread back up because that would be me concede that i am, in fact, an alcoholic

haven't had any of their seasonals but i have had their flagship cider and, unless i'm thinking of the wrong thing here, i recall it being tooo dry for my liking. maybe it even had an alcohol taste to it, which put me off.

Posted by Sushipunk on Oct-13-2011 07:26:

Also, because it's CIDER.

Fucking pikeys.
