I hated Michael Jordan but I always respected him. You are taking both as the same meaning because I don't like them then I don't respect them. That's not true at all. I don't want Barry Bonds to break the record because he's cheating. That's different. I was joking about Damon and his hair, GEEZ, I thought that would be completely obvious as a use of my constant sarcasm.

I respect Ortiz but hate him because he's the ultimate Yankee killer. I don't see anything wrong with that. That's just me...

Man Ram is a different story.

Did I ever mention that Damon sucked? So I don't get that point. I don't like guys that look like clowns, that's my perogative. I am with Joe Morgan who thinks you should dress like a professional baseball player, not just whatever you want to do.

Babe Ruth a fat slob. That's endearing to have such a fat guy be such a great baseball player. He obviously wasn't juicing!

Mickey Mantle was an alcoholic and womanizer. I never liked Mickey sorry because he shared the same traits as my dad.

And I hate Kobe Bryant because he at the best cheated on his wife. I don't admire players that are scumbags off the court/diamond,etc. I don't just look at his skills as to whether I like/dislike someone. I don't like fans that don't care how a person is, only if they score a lot of points or hit a lot of homers.

And you talk about if they were on a different team. Yeah, maybe, you can always change your opinion about people. I hated A Rod before he was a Yankee. Am I supposed to always hate him then even though he starts to help my team win games? Sometimes I still don't like the guy but sometimes I was wrong about my opinions. Or my opinions change. I used to like Tiesto of all things....

I don't love A Rod but I'm happy he's kicking ass for my team.

I see what you're saying. Obviously, we just disagree on hating certain players.

And I don't only like players for their stats. I think Manny is one of the top 10 RH offensive players of all time, possibly either handed... we can all probably agree on that. As far as his personality goes, I enjoy watching him. I like that he's always smiling. He seems like a kid on the field. The way any kid would kill their mom to play Major League Baseball... thats the way I feel Manny is. He plays to play. I don't think he cares what team he's on. I don't think he cares about anything really... except hitting that baseball as hard as he can. He doesn't take it seriously. And, in my opinion, that's the way it should be. It's a game. They aren't saving lives out there. He's a little cocky, I'll admit that. But I think if I were that good, I'd watch a few homers here and there. And I love him for it. Plus... He believes we make our own destination... That's gotta count for something.

I definitely respect Manny's game and his jovial attitude. Just run hard!

And I'm sure we agree on some guys like Jake Peavy...

By the way, David Wright is my favorite Met.

Posada and Mo' are my favorite Yankees.

Last week during BP, David Wright was walking to the dugout. Everyone was asking for autographs. A little boy wearing a Yankees cap said "Hey David, autograph?" Wright said "Not for a Yankee fan..." and walked in the dugout... The little bitch cried and an usher told Wright. He gave the kid a bat and an autographed ball. What a pussy... the kid, not D Wright.

Maybe I was wrong about Douche Bag........

Muahahahahahahahaha

Man... you guys are weird. A pitcher has shown nothing all year. He has one good game and you're converted?

IshBB had a good start two starts ago. I was pleased. But I knew that was all we were gonna get. Sure enough... rocked the next start.

Leiter? Eh, he really, really sucked for the Marlins, I'm very skeptical but I'll take the one game so far.

Jesus Caveman's hit streak is over. Muahahahahahaha

I jinxed it!!

I'm happy you're rooting for the Yanks but where have you been the last couple of months while the Yanks weren't in first?

Im not a baseball whore, theres too much non-Yankee related talk in here for me to care.

When the football and hockey season's start, you'll see my head in those alittle more frequently.

Agreed. Mets have been in last place all year... and I've been here all year.

Personally, I don't think will last too long. I think the Sox are just too good. Pitching is a litte shaky, yes. But the Yankees starting staff is not good at all. Even when all healthy, it isn't good.

And please... O's... make this deal! Now!

HAHA +1

Hate on us when we win and hate on us when we lose - but when we take control of the division, you better come get us cuz we'll run the shit out of the margin and open up that lead

Yanks had both of the Perez brothers at different times. If you're talking about Kevin Maas then you're talking about Melido Perez on the 1990 crap squad.

Roberto Kelly and Mel Hall, they were the best Yanks at the time. Jesse Barfield...

Andy Hawkins through a no-hitter but in the 9th the team committed 4 errors and they lost (1990). Yanks got the first pick after that year and drafted Brien Taylor, considered one of the biggest busts in draft history.

Vlad, Steelers suck! Yankees really have enough bangwagon fans.

Question to Vlad, Jayme, and Brian (kidnyce)... when was the last time anyone has hated on the Yankees in this thread?

I'm gonna have to agree with Shamus because there's really only like 6 people on this thread for about 97% of it. Sal and Shamus are the only non-yankee fans mostly and they don't hate really.

Shamus just loves Red Sox guys which is kind of pukey but I'll let that slide... and likes to lecture us.
