that was a great game, especially stoppage time! the ref was one of the better ones and wasn't fooled by Italian diving too easily. The two goals were amazing!

It's devastating to know that Australia should of had the better of a team that has now reached the finals, only due to a poor reffing decision we did not play against Germany this morning. Hopefully the world might take some notice of us as a Football nation now.

Just a note from a lifelong Germany fan (I had to take the sig banner down today, goddammit): I would have stabbed my mother in the eye with a crab fork to have seen Australia make it to the final match. Your guys clawed their way through God only knows how many overpuffed assclowns to make it through qualifications and then into the groupings, and I don't think there's been a team that's worked harder or deserved to be in this Cup more than the 'Roos. I hope 2010 sees Australian football in the Cup again, kicking asses and taking names the whole way without having to resort to shameless chickenshit cheats and piss-rotten tactics that have been blatantly used by other long-established teams to get them past where they deserved to be left behind.
