No, not Luke Fair... some Milwaukee local. I can't remember his name though.

I've heard Beggin' being played in random stores while shopping recently, dunno why it's makin a comeback. Also saw franki valli and the four seasons in concert when I was like 6, used to be my favorite band.

I'm sorry SOS didn't bring the funk on Saturday night you were looking for. I also hope they come back to their roots a little bit more than what they've been playing recently. However, I give them a the benefit of the doubt, because I'm not finding too many funky-house productions lately, either. I'm starting to think it might be a dying genre (which is really too bad). I'd love to find more uplifting piano and guitar tracks myself, but it seems to be few and far between anymore.

Yeah I remember seeing SOS at the Lovefest Afterparty last September. I was thinking they were going to throw down the funkadelic goodness but I was taken back from all this techy boring garbage they spun. Damn, I was hoping for another Balance 008 set that night.

the Innervisions guys threw down the sickest funkiest set i've heard since Vincenzo and Lovebirds in Miami, holy wow.

so many epic piano melodies, chuggy basslines, jazzy instruments, diva vocals, a bit of hip house (2 In A Room - Wiggle It)... completely not what i was expecting but those guys really know how to throw a party. Kristian was eating everything in sight (his scarf, CDs, a corndog that had been spinning on one of the platters) and they all looked like they were having the time of their lives.

they even played one of my all-time favorite piano jams:

i'm sure the fact that it was an afterparty on a boat in Detroit had a lot to do with the silly atmosphere, but i'd highly recommend seeing these guys if you ever get the chance.

It was a dj set from Dixon, live PA by Henrik Schwarz, then a dj set from Ame.. www.innercityvisions.com/

Dixon, Ame, Henrik Schwarz

I've fallen in love with those guys over some livesets and releases. Man, I sure hope they'll come back to NL this october when there's another Amsterdam Dance Event. Last year I went to the Cocoon Night when Schwarz/Ame/Dixon (alongside Marcus Worgull) were throwing the sickest party (from what I've read) just a couple miles further from where I was.

At least I get to see Dixon and Ame separately in one month.

And I adore that Still Going Theme, too.
