I agreed that more techno needs to be added to this line up. the line up should be released early next week.

What festival are you talking about?

yes, I am a loser. no doubt. I like to bite my fingernails, smell my armpits and occasionally, just occasionally... wet my pants

but I'd rather do those things then come to a forum, talk A LOT of shit about different events and then degrade the different members here.

As mentioned before, this is the west coast forum. Although we fuck around and bust balls, in the end... we hold hands and sing kumbaya. Why? Because we're all friends

If you don't like the event, don't go. Sell your tickets and make a profit.

well said man!

we'll be clubbing my lord, kumbaya...we'll be clubbing my lord, kumbaya....we'll be clubbing my lord, kumbaya, ooooh lord kumbaya....

Im talking about Electric Zoo and Detroit Electronic Music Festival in particular. But yeah I think they should really cut back hard on electro at this event. It's ridiculous how many electro acts are on the line up. They should put more progressive/techno/house in general.

I understand you're views. But if you wish to hear those artist why not travel to those events instead of bashing others people events?. if you look at it some of the Electro artist that are booked for this years EDC haven't been in LA in a while.

how about some Adam Beyer????!!!!

I bash the lack of variety man and I bash it because it is a huge hassle to fly out to the east coast. I mean if thats the attitude of the people throwing it I understand lol. But to be honest I think my arguements are totally valid considering the money that will be made regardless and the lack of solid line ups constantly.

I agreed with your point but the line up hasn't been fully released, so why not wait? maybe some more artist will get released that you'll want to see.

Posted by Artois on May-12-2010 03:12:

thats my issue man as the prices rise more of the line up comes out. I dont like playing that game.

Update on my EDSeeds.

Day 1 (April 28) - Planted

Day 14 (May 11) - Sprouts have been up for a few days now. I think the light show I gave them helped.

I sure hope those are daisies growing and not random weeds.

I went to LA this past Saturday for the EIF Revlon 5k Run/Walk for Women. It is a large event that raises money for the fight against breast cancer. The run/walk started near the Coliseum and ended inside of it. Seeing the Coliseum made me all excited and crap for EDC.

EDC has been growing very fast the past couple years and who knows how many people will attend this year. Depending on the set times I may get in the Coliseum well before sundown.

cool...thanks a bunch dude.

Cost of this one? One Day Pass if 40 Euros. Weekedn pass for 75 Euros.

And the production will prob destroy anything done in the US.

But this is life with massives here. Not like Insomniac is alone. Everyone organizer is the same way!

BTW, it says Sander van Doorn B2B Marco V?Is that like another way of saying tag-team? Not sure. If so,

Oh yeah, you can get a weekend pass for 75 Euros.

The line up owns anything in california as well. I mean its kind of ridiculous to see a line up of that magnitude and a ticket price that is so cheap. Also Henry in my disapproval of EDCs line up this is the example of why. It has everything there, something that everyone will be able to find appealing as opposed to appealing to just ravers or mainstream lovers.

PS: I bash the event because I hope that it will get better through criticism, my bad mouthing this will not hurt your sales. Also doing better with line ups and working toward making the party cheaper and more legitimate will not hurt your sales either.

In all honestly, it's just way easier to get all those DJs to do events like that in Europe. In the US, there's so much politics involved it's very, very hard...plus most of the DJs live over there. Easy travel for them. Ultra is probably the only one who can do something like it in the US if they really went after it, and it's because all those DJs would be in Miami anyway.

And prices are business. If someone did events to compete with the other ones and did nearly as good of a production at more sane prices, then the higher prices would stop. Unless bidding wars just started and then the higher ticket prices would mean more money to work with in bidding.

Posted by Artois on May-12-2010 21:05:

Still i can name a huge list of australlian/south american/north american artists to add and everyone should know politics are all bullshit

Posted by DaveT on May-12-2010 21:21:

Politics are bull but it's very much there when it comes to bookings in the US. Dealing with agencies, what they want, where they want the DJ listed, how they wanted list, what timeslot, etc. You see a lot more crap going on with that here in the US.

Look at this event. Sasha is on the mainstage, but Digweed is on a side stage (though it's kinda his own stage, too). I don't know of an event in the US could book them both and noth have them together or at least on the same main stage.

DJs or labels (a big DJs label) often have their own stages and whatnot over there and have their own lineups. When the hell is a US massive gonna have some Armada stage or something!?

Ferry had his thing at Nocturnal...but nothign compared to the stage he has for his label over in Europe at some shows.

i've never in my entire life (including festivals in europe) once seen Sasha and Digweed on the same bill but not playing together or billed as S&D.... don't know what to think about that one...
