It's very hard....

maybe:

Saltwater (original mix)
Halcyon
Offshore

Definately Saltwater (Original Mix). You just can't beat it for emotionally charged, incredibly beautiful melodic trance.

Okey, some of you are mentioning tunes that aren't even chicane tunes, i saw somebody mention "Victoria", and "Mojave", these aren't Chicane songs, but song floating around on the net with chicane's name in the title, you probably got those songs on kazaa

They are Chicane songs.

Victoria is from the very first Chicane release, the Offshore EP (of which the title track is really the only one worth noting):

A1 Old Man Choad
A2 Save Me
B1 Offshore
B2 Victoria

It was released in 1996 on Cyanide.

Mojave aka Maharvey was never released but was played by Nick at his now-famous Palladium gig in early 2000. Beautiful track but never saw the light of day for whatever reason...

Yes, starglider is right. I have the Offshore EP 12" and the palladium gig as mp3.. so i know he is right.

Is Maharvey/Mojave a dub version of Jose Padilla - Who Do You Love (Chicane Mix)?

Posted by tsunami on Apr-22-2003 06:08:

okey, sorry 'bout that then, but i knew about "Maharvey", but how that song suddenly got the name "Mojave" is beyond me

Sort of, Mojave has elements of that song within it, as well as elements of Nagasaki Badger?

It's been a while since I analyzed the cut...

Definitely a brilliant tune though, I can't believe I forgot to mention it...

Geeze, no love for Victoria? Come on

I think that track is far and away the best song on the Cyanide 12" (never been a big fan of Offshore and the entire A side is throwaway IMHO...I don't even want to *think* about Old Man Choad)

Hmm.. it's a live act i think, he plays the tunes mostly live on stage (that's why it says "live" @ Palladium) with the instruments, synths and all.. it's not a dj mix. So it kinda is an song presentation as u said.

Posted by Fandom on Apr-23-2003 15:39:

thanx grim,i was curious all the time about that!
that was an awesome job bringing that up live, way to go chicane
btw is he still producing?

it's actually a set he played in a German club called Palledeum.I think it's in Koln. I have that set in which a german guy in the club announces Chicane and then the crowd goes crazy and then the set starts.

HOw do you know he's not mixing? I also think he is playing all the instruments, but can you hear the difference when he's mixing?
