Wowzer, cannot believe this thread is 4 pages already!
So without further ado, here's my review:
Decor: 10/10! Definitely one of the more impressive setups I've seen in that complex. The DJ cage was trippy!
Picotto: 9/10. Bangin' set but also melodic, not just techno beats without any substance. It did get a little repetitive from time to time (as techno does), so it was great that the other DJs were throwing such good sets too...
Storm & Total Science: 7/10. I'm clumping these into one because I thought the sets sounded fairly similar. I found the sets a little too hardcore junglish (as opposed to mellower DnB-ish) for me to spend more than 20-30 minutes on at a time, but I thought the MCing was excellent and more than made up for it. The local DJs, IMO, were spinning more interesting tunes that kept me dancing for about an hour and a half.
Deep Dish: 8/10. They have renewed my faith in progressive house. I thought their set had great variety, from loungy to funky to trancy to hard. A little too repetitive at times but otherwise great stuff. However, the Guvernment was entirely too crammed, and I did not get to hear the end, unfortunately, since I was in the KH at "closing time."
Management: 4/10. I think this is worthy of mentioning as well... the club was obviously faced with a very difficult situation and did what they had to do in the interests of everyone's public safety, which I commend them for. However, common sense tells me that this incident was partly due to carelessness and could potentially have been avoided. Also, even though it was 6 AM, I still paid to be there until 8:30 and I am very disappointed that there was no offer of compensation. I also thought that the bouncers were quite rude in clearing people out.
The fucking tweaked-out puffy-red-hair whistle bitch: -6/10 If I ever see you on the street, I'll beat you senseless, I swear to god. I'll be carrying a lead pipe with me at all times for this sole reason.
Shouts & props to all the TAs that came out to represent, especially the ones that helped take over the Acid Lounge until after 1 AM. I don't want to list names since there are too many and I will undoubtedly forget someone. Was great to see some new faces as well. I can't help noticing a certain group of people who did not bother coming to the meetup - I'm not going to cut anyone up for it, but in all sincerity, I was looking forward to meeting some of you and I wish you'd be a little more sociable with the rest of us. It's kind of awkward being in there, knowing that some of you probably recognize me from the pictures but don't feel like saying hello... :/
One of my friends there made a comment to me in total innocence that totally cracked me up: he said in the Guvernment, at about 2 or 3 AM, "I heard this place turns into a gay party later on, maybe I should go to Koolhaus soon." Hahahaha, but he did NOT mean it as a joke! Fortunately this did not happen, and fortunately for him he stayed in the Guv until 8:10. But it's funny that the Guv is getting this kind of a reputation, because he knows nothing of TA or Tribe and is just a reg there.

- And of course the after-party crowd, you know who you are. It was a great way to neutralize the shittiness of being kicked out, so when I went home I actually felt pretty good about the whole event.

there was a guy inside the ceiling of kool haus? WTF thats crazy haha i wonder how he got up in there.. and what drove him to do that!
also my brother was telling me that some guy was climbing the ball cage surrounding mauro? lol. the night was great all and all! first highlight hearing teh opening dj in guvernment playing
john creamer - lift up the needle (ellis d remix) I LOVE THIS Track omg.. it was soo nice to hear!
mauro's set was incredibly hard.. but his mixing was very off for some reason.. must have been a bad setup??
the whole fiasco about locking everyone in the rooms they were in (GUV AND ORANGE ROOM) was ridiculous.. not to mention kool haus getting closed down early.. i was stuck in the jungle room for a long time it was fun.. but i would have been rather seeing deep dish.
did anyone get a tracklisting for deepdish's set? or mauro's set that remix of coldplay clocks.. what was that called? (the one that mauro played)
great night again all in alll great to see and meet a bunch of new tranceaddictS!!!!!

No Liam, that was another whistling idiot at UltraSpin. The guy with the red wig is the WORST of them all- a real nut job. Apparently, last week staff discovered that guy was wearing one of those Dr. Ho Muscle Massage things under his clothes!!! 
I think they're finally realizing he's a shit-stirer, and someone's gonna try to do something about him. (cross your fingers he gets banned)

I actually tried removing the whistle from the guy's mouth but I think it was superglued to his teeth and didn't want to come out.
Let's just get 3 or 4 of us to gag him, take him into the bathroom and threaten (with a rubber band and scissors) to cut his balls off if he ever blows that whistle again. � la Fight Club.

Yea.. that guy was fucked.. he was dancing behind me at like 6am in Guv and he kept chanting/yelling some crazy ass shit. I don't know what he was on but he was seriously out of it. Then this one guy went into Red Whistle Boy's dancing space and he made a point of drawing out with his fingers the area which 'belonged' to Red Whistle Boy... Oh that was classic.
I have no problem with whistles as long as they's not excessive and the person using it knows what they're doing.. this guy was random, with no rhythm and thankfully moved away after about 5 minutes.
tho ppl I cannot stand, liam is right
very rarely do you get a whistle blower who does it in rhythm.
Yeah, Guv staff seems to think the guy's on PCP or something.

I enjoyed the night i was friggin tired, i couldnt even say which direction to turn(bizz drove me home) , my feet were sore, that fight at guvernment spoilt my mood, but it horrible to hear everyone got kicked out of Kool Haus, because of some dumbass who could not handle his drugs.
other than that i had a blast meeting the TA family after a long time!!!, each one of you were awesome!!!

Here is my Review ....
Got in and walked around the clubb and shit. Went to the Orange Room to see DJ Storm. And all I got to say �. I was VERY Disappointed in her set !!! She did not have any flow at all, she was all over the place and it seem like she was just playing tracks randomly. Headed over to the KH and was disappointed with Mauro Picotto again. I gave him about 30 mins and he didn�t impress me.

MP@SYSTEM pt2 � Wicked but, it got a little boring

Ran over to the Orange Room to SpinBack from Total Science ! Amazing start and his mixing was smooth and silk. Much better set then the time I saw him at NYE@Mega City. Great track selections !!! Near the end of his set � it seemed like things were going down hill. Next up, Ryan Rukus came on and HOLLY SHIT !!!! The man stole the show !!! Showin� them UK headliners how to do things proppa !!! PERFECT SET, FLAWLESS MIXING and KICK ASS TUNES !!! HE dropped Distorted Mindz � T MINUS 10 and also my current fav, FRESH )EIB( & Mampi Swift � Play Me !!! I was dancing until the very end of this set and the final track he dropped was Dillinja � Twist�m Out (Fresh )EIB( - Remix)
ALL in ALL �. FUCKING AMAZING NIGHT !!! TOO BAD the clubb got a bit fucked up at the end but it was fun to watch all those sketched out freaks running around looking for their friends.
