Don't be decieved ... America still spends more per capita on medical care than any other country. If you cannot afford insurance through your job, it is covered by medicare/medicaid.

I'm an american communist... My plans for retirement (in about fifty-sixty years) are to move to a large piece of land in northern canada.

lol, we'll see if that falls thru...

First, let me just say that its threads like this that give the electronic community a bad name. If trancers didn't have drug problems there wouldn't be any "Rave Act".

As far as it being the governments fault that drugs aren't legal, that's simply untrue. It is the people that decide what passes and what doesn't. Why do you think weed is always on the ballet because a bunch of hippies want to smoke up?? they have the right to have it voted on, but drug users are simply not the majority. i'm sure that the government would love to legalize all of the drugs (well maybe not ALL of them). Think about how much money is in drugs.

To those that use the excuse that "the best times of my have been on drugs"...that's pretty said actually. The fact that you have to distort your reality to find a decent life says something about the choices that you've made. Look at the guy talking about the hospital he was in. First, I think that it takes a lot of strength to over come something like that, so good luck to you, but he is coming here acknowledging that he had problems and although they ain't drug related...I'm sure he's seen people really messed up by drugs and he is trying to share his experiences with those of you that make poor life choices so don't give him a lot of crap.

To the guy bitching about healthcare...I'm not saying that I'm the biggest fan of wellfare or medicaid because I certainly don't like having to pay taxes for people that are too lazy to get a job. But I can still acknowledge that there are some people that genuinely need the help. If you have a job that pays 8.50/hr...I know that ain't great, but its better then a lot of people. Throw a back seat full of kids into your equation and you see the need.

Alright, there is always more to say, but I'll stop ranting and let the flames come...in the end, I know none of you have reached any Catharsis and this thread had been a complete waste of everyone's time.

exactly. I want my right to out clubbing. My right is being taken away because druggies continue to defend their drug use in american clubs and parties. Go to Holland, deal with their way of life so u can do something as small and minute as ecstasy or weed. The RAVE act only came in effect because of drugs in clubs. It's not about the type of music we listen to, it's not about noise pollution, it's not about mass traffic at huge electronic music events. it's simply all about drugs. U want to stop rave act? then encourage yourself and others to keep it clean.
u get caught smoking $5 of weed. wow. I'm sure everyone has paid at least $1,000 of their taxes to make sure the DEA hunts u down. And me being in california with the 3 strikes rule, we have to pay so u can have a nice prison cell with a color TV and comfy beds. The DEA is gonna be here and the druggies are gonna be the reason they are around.

My premium is $60 a month and I have an excellent plan. I have friend's who have premiums as low as $25-40 a month. Is that too much?

oh, thats simple.

your a sad little man who is very ugly or fat or personalityless and has no friends because of this, you cut yourself because subconciously you want to draw attention to yourself to feel loved or cared for which is what you would not be if you did not do anything.

you hate drugs because you hate people having fun and being happy, mainly because you are never happy yourself.

gutted.

the rave act is do to ecstasy and cocaine and crystal.Dont give me that shit about pot causing the rave act, then they should pass the rap act, the rock act and any other type of musical performances.Half the people that go to raves to get all fucked up on e and everthing else, they are there to do drugs not listen to the music.

that was brilliant. do u still have to ask ur mom for permission to use the internet?

Cutting is bad. i realized it and i quit. why don't u druggies quit ruining the scene by making every fucking rave and party full of police and undercover DEA. It's people like u that ruin the scene for clean people like myself. i didn't break no fucking law and now i have to be searched thoroughly by government agents at every party because ******s think drugs are the answer to everything. if it wasn't for fucks like u who break the law, and then bitch and moan because u got caught, the scene would be still alive without threat and definently WITHOUT RAVE act. I learned from my mistakes and took advice from others throughout my situation. Now i'm all better and i don't cut anymore because i don't wanna be a pissy pansy about how horrible my life was and then say it's everyone else's fault for my depression and self mutiliatoin. It was my responsiblity to learn. it seems u haven't. so go join boy scouts

i've met tons of people with depression and guess what, a majority of them are secretly suffering from it. I try and help them to the best of my ability. What if one of ur friends or family told u this shit? would u think they were fat and ugly and whatever the hell u said about people in depression. u know what you would do? u would make an excuse to defend them, but continue to attack me. make up ur mind

Gutted. I hardly ever get searched and if i do its a quick pat down. The scene over his fine and the majority of the people that club pop pills. ever thought its ur government that is overreacting and are the ones to blame? get a clue.

Not really ... the rave scene in the US is really quite different from the clubbing scene. At least my experiences with Pittsburgh raves were very different. They really are drug nests. Not just drug nests but irresponsible drug nests. Maybe a 3rd of the shit being passed around is bunk crap if you're lucky ... if you're not it's dxm or some other fucked up shit being passed off as rolls. I had a friend who nearly died one night after being duped by a "reputable" dealer. Probably 70% of the people there are under the age of 18 and get to be as young as 14 or 15. Security is a joke ... anything could have gotten through and half the hardcore dealers knew the promoters and got in with jars of pills. Hell I even knew some promoters who were drug dealers themselves. I could go on and on ... but let's just say I'm all for the rave act being enforced upon raves as was the bill's intention. Maybe it'll force some of these promoters to actually be responsible for once in their lives. Anyway, I don't like the wording of it, but so far it hasn't been used to shut down legitimate clubs yet so I guess I'm for it ... besides if the gov't really wanted to shut down a club they could have easily done so before the act (nation and twilo).

I always thought this was a free country till now, who is the government to tell u what we can and can't put into our bodies. They say its illegal cause its harmful, what about tabacco and alcohol.Thousands of deaths every year can be linked to alcohol and yet its still leagal. How many deaths have been linked to cannabis,no a fuckin one.

so here it is, join me cause i know im not the only one that hates this piece of shit they call a government.
FUCK U BUSH AND ALL YOU BOYS

this whole thread is a crock of shit...what the DEA was wandering around the neighborhood smelling out your measly spliff? why? they dont even have enough ppl to cover all the farmers that grow it. also, the DEA didn't just sprout when dubya took office, so how does this have anything to do with him?

please tell me where i said the rave act was caused by weed?? i said that weed in always on bills trying to get legalized, but all i said was that DRUGS were the problem with raves. I've been to raves and i've seen every drug imaginable at those parties so its not the weed...its the x floating around and the heroine in the bathrooms. granted you know every rocker/rapper out there is living it up smokin' all day long and maybe even harder shit, but we are the genre of music that it is associated with the most. even if a couple of rappers are out there doing drugs, thats not the same as a whole warehouse of people fucked up...you surely must see the difference...

and like everyone else is said...there is no way the DEA came and kicked in your friends door unless it was something a little more serious than a couple of assholes sitting around getting high...

I say to all you fucks who are complaining about america being so bad then fucking leave. If you think somewhere else is better then fucking go there, im realy tired of people chastizing their own country. Its free and you can leave when ever you want. Either comply with laws we have or break them and pay the price dont bitch because you broke a law and were repremanded for it. Again, i say this if you dont like the country you dont have to be here.
