Anyways its funny how she only got decks and began to practice and in 6 months she got the magic fingers to mix, maybe it helped that she produced before hand. |
if you guys are that desperate to know more about BeXta then i can post up the interview i did with her for Lushbeats (R.I.P
).....
Back on the REAL topic - theres Paddies(?? im guessing the name - its an irish pub!) around the corner on george street, but im fucked if i know any other pubs in the immediate vicinity of gas..... Give me the rocks, oxford street or town hall and i can name you any number of good cheap pubs, why then cant i think of any near gas????
I think i need to develop a new pub crawl route!!!

Hey, lets go to the Scubar!!!
Im joking ofcourse. I went there last night for a few drinks and it was such a blast from the past. Im 21 and i felt like one of the oldest people in the entire place.
Im up for a few before hand to get the show on the road. Just tell me time and place and ill be there (im no good at organizing things
)

I suppose theres always the Civic Hotel (i think thats the name???) just a bit further up Pitt street.....
or depending on how energetic everyones feeling, we could pick a pub in the city and walk down - it isnt really that far....
theres a pub opposite arthouse (cant remember the name) which has $3.50 spirits, or sumtin like that..... cheap = GOOOOOOOODDDDD!!!!!

I might be able to come after all
I remember going to the shark bar ("Sydney's best dance music" written on the flyer
) before two tribes. Oxford st isn't that far away to be able to walk, alternatively one of those bistro places would work.

sheesk!! cant you Sydneysiders make a decision? Once you do, me & Strangis will be there too...
I'll be there, and its my birthday too! Will have to have a big one, since it will be uni holidays too
Well we are def coming to this one.
If you people don't mind getting on a bus that will take 5-10 mins, we are happy to have pre-party drinks at our place in Glebe.
Let us know what you want to do!
Yep, pre-party at our place is a definate possibility
We have decks (2xvinyl, 1xCDJ), pleanty of fridge space, a BBQ, etc, etc, etc...
who's up for it?
That actually sounds pretty cool!!!
And its a hell of a lot cheaper then drinking our selfs stupid in a pub (not that everyone needs to drink to be stupid!!
)
Just as a side thought not sure how many people are working on the friday but we could almost turn this into an all day thing, barbie lunch, kick back in someones back yard drink the day away and then turn up to Halcyon just nicely toasted!!!
What do u think????

whats a pub & why would people want to go there???
.... the Glebe thingy with dex sounds good ... & it seems like not many people work in Sydney on a Friday??
I work on Fridays, but if heaps of people aren't working that day, I'll see what I can do.....

Don't know how successful I'll be at getting the day off from work, but could probably escape at lunchtime or something if I made up some important appointment or minor surgery or something...
bragi & chookie's place sounds good to me though, will definitely be there
Ok, so the plan has been hatched. How do we find out where to go, what time, how much is entry
etc, etc.
Should records be brought along cause otherwise ill bring a case instead
Sounds like a decent plan, now I've just gotta hope that my shifts are properly worked out now.
