This song has the potential to be a massive dancefloor hit, the lyrics are awesome! As it is, it's already a great down-tempo track.

downtempo?? wtf are you talking about!
see, this is what I mean, people try to play it off as some kind of other EDM style...but it's not! It's Alternative Rock or something!

I dunno why, but somethin really bugs me about people not realizing that...I love Andain tho...so dont mind me...Im just a wierdo

sorry

I've always said how close andain is to alternative rock, nice to have someone agree with me. I just said it was downtempo because it's slow, chilled out Electronica. I guess I shouldn't talk, I'm a little wishy-washy when it comes to defining down-tempo, chill-out, ambient, and all these other arbitrary categorizations.

It's all music to my ears, and Andain is some of the best

I guess what Im trying to say is...
I just find it extremely curious that Andain's following consists mainly of EDM fans, when it seems like it should have more of a fanbase in people who like "alternative" rock. I think if Andain ever gets rock-radio play, they will be extremely succesful and popular, because they are a hell of a lot better than most of the shite that is played on alt-rock stations these days.
I guess it all stems from how Andain first introduced themselves...
anyways...I forsee huge success for them if they get the attention of non-edm fans

just think of how cool that would be! If Andain tours...finally an event I would want to go out and see that some of the people I know (girls who dont like edm) might want to goto as well!

I think that would rock man! But if they do get popular, you know what'll happen. All these assholes who claim to like Andain will come out and talk shit, saying they've become "too commercial" and that they're "Selling out" and that their music is too "mainstream".

sad but true

I couldn't agree more, some people are too afraid of not beeing unique or different enough from others. To me, there's good music, and there's bad music, that's really all that matters. And Andain... is very very very good music.

I for one hope they do become mainstream. I would like nothing more than to hear an Andain track on the radio, because they're simply good music. I can only hope!

In some of Andain's tunes, yes, its hard to hear the electronic upbringing. And that's ok with me, its still great music.

I don't think this would fare well with the 'alternative' style because the nature of the vocals are too... melodic? Do you know what I mean?

Its hard for me to describe but I'll try to say it like this:
During motown, most people sang the same way
During the 70's people sang the same way
and so on- until you get to the grunge 90's and everyone has been angsty or now where everyone wants to sound hip hop. For the angsty side, think of the popular vocalists at the moment, you have your pop singers, and Evanesence- they OBVIOUSLY don't sing with the same 'style' as Mavie Marcos/Andain. Its just not the type of style that's mainstream. Its just not 'in' to sing like this. Yet, Andain's vocal style is pretty much lingua franca of the trance scene.

Its great music, and I agree, but just not what's 'in'. I'd love to see Andain and mr. dresden become hugely popular.

hmmmm beautiful song.
Too bad they don't have a lot of tunes (yet. a cd would be great)

Posted by NiteMer on Dec-03-2004 00:13:

Great song. As far as I know, it's quite a bit older. A friend of mine made a downtempo remix of it that is pretty sick. I think it's a great track, but could be a tough remix.
