Colour me impressed! Might give this some plays if you don't mind =)
trancemaster : thx mate, looking forward to your in-depth review then
rob : i do believe it's my best track so far (or one of my best)... too bad you didn't get the 192 kbps version?
dj-sean : go right ahead, it's not signed yet, so it's no problem. thx

I'm not getting this track at all really
nothing really stands out for me, just I don't think the intro lead fits with the nice bass/string in the beginning.
The main lead sounds good, although I think the overall production could do with tightening up a bit.
Love the main strings though
hehe, that's alright X-Hale, nobody says you should like it... i would loved to have gone for the typical arp melody in the beginning, but maybe that's too classic. therefore i tried a different pattern
what should i do to 'tighten it up'?
i don't know if i'm gonna send it to ferry, i first am gonna see what some local contacts might bring up.
greetz,
LW
I don't think it needs the main intro lead....from 7:56 u just have a nice little seuqnce repeating, thats also in the into I think you should just leave that.
I'm not sure what u could do really....just some of it seems to 'mesh' together and it doesn't sound as clear as it could.
I'm thinking a clearer clap could be used..it seems to strick out like a saw thumb in the into, as the rest of the track sounds pretty mellow up intill the breakdown. The melody is great, I'm thinking when the beat comes back...give it a bit more power, I can imagine loving the breakdown in a club then being a bit let down by when the kick comes in.
I'm not knocking you're work...I've heared alot better from you though
i don't think people in a club will stumble over a clap... not really
wouldn't it sound too empty without the intro lead? how could i give it more power? i've spent lots of time on the overall 'clearness' though (like always), making sure you can hear almost every instrument through all the layers. perhaps it's due to the reverb?
EDIT : damn enter button
i can't see what's wrong with the clap or the "clearness" in general.. i think the reason might be the 128kbps mp3.. i was one of the lucky ones to download the 192kbps!
anyway wim, i listened to it a few times again and i must say it is a very strong track you have there! i didn't quite like the melody at first, but it has grown on me.. also the production itself is fantastic! i played around with it a little, but nothing good has come out of it so far.. at least nothing good in comparison to your version! very hard track to remix, as there is now way it can be improved.. i guess i can only try some more, phew..
hey kev
yeah, maybe the 128 kbps might have done it, i'll have a listen to that version.
take all the time you want for the remix, there's no rush there mate
laterz!
Wim
well... a fantastic song to say the least... probably one of the best trance tunes I have ever heard... *thumbs up*
great production! keep 'em coming..
This track is perfect the way it is, the small matter of a clap isnt gonna have an effect on anybody dancing to the track. Send this track to Ferry Corsten cos he will play it...that bassline is serious!
Myself and John are working on a remix of it at the moment
Icone - Meriva (Athr Remix) - COMING SOON

Gave this a listen again since I saw Bren-F did a remix and I just wanted to reiterate how much I love this track! This should be signed, no question. Start sending those promo's all over the place, someone will pick you up, guaranteed!

i'm gonna wait first for the first remixes to come in, i'll probably send some along with the original.

Btw, is there any chance of using that "thunder" sample you used in the original?
