And Eric and I had quite a good deal of fun playing. After the breaks pretty much cleared the room out, and we decided to change tactics and go with some pumpin' melodic proggy stuff, things seemed to go much bettah So thank you to anyone who was enjoying our set And special thanks to John for both organizing yet another successful event, and having us back to rock a peaktime slot. You rock And props to all the other DJs as well, I caught all of Mute's set, which was quite fun, bangin', and nicely mixed. And I caught pieces of both ESO and WalterMindz' sets, which both sounded quite kickass Unfortunately I was a little late for Mecha, having only caught the last track, but that tracklisting looks sick m8! Sorry for the very late review from me. I'm sick from the party and still trying to recover
A MASSIVE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO CAME OUT ON FRIDAY! I hope you guys enjoyed this event, regardless if you were in the main room or the VIP room.
Great to see the VIP room filled with amazing TAs ! The main room was pretty packed, and trust me K there were NUFF TAs enjoying Hernan set! (30% of the main room was TOTAs) All the DJs in the VIP room were kicking some serious ass! Loads of fun and jokes through out the night. I got my ballz grabbed and ass slapped too many times from our TA girls. No worries, the next TA Invasion event ... things won't look too good for you girls
At the very end of the night, I had to grab one of Alex's vinyls and made sure the night ends with a proppa tune. Glad you guys enjoyed it! Like I said before, NO ONE KNOWS HOW TO PARTY LIKE TRANCEADDICT DOES!
Things that annoyed me in the VIP Room:
A)The sound system was not ready and was only 50% done. It kept cutting off all night! The managers of System were supposed to get this done and dealt with last month.
B)The room was a little TOO hot! Never have Ive seen it like that before
C)TranceGeek forgot to bring the NETMD! None of the sets were recorded
Special Thanks:
The Managers of System Sound Bar - For allowing ALL the TAs in for free on a MASSIVE headling night!
TOTA DJs WOW!
DJ Stylez & Waxen - I know its hard for you guys to come out now, but THANK YOU to both of you!
Swamper & Itika - Thank you for coming out!
the_broad - Nice to meet you in person and thanks for coming out! Talk about a mission to get there.
Desidel V Thanks for helping me with the flyer design and other shit.
Sorry for a crappy review, I'm too sick to think right now!
Keep your eyes open for the next TA Invasion on AUG 1st 2003.(The return of MC E2EK1EL!)
Remember to show your some love & support at the Orikdea@AfterLife and Edgar V@Viva events!
Thank You
John E2EK1EL_D3

THE SECUIRTY THAT CLAIMED THERE WAS 4 JOE C on the LIST ... NEED TO GET HIS HEAD CHECKED !!! There was only 2 on the list, and I doubled typed it by mistake ... even if there was 4, it doesn't matter! Just cross out them out when they come one by one.
For those who are new to the Invasion events, just to clear things up ... there were the same amount of ppl who attended pt 1 and 2. Part 2 seem to be alittle less busy compaired to the first, b/c of the sound system prob, the heat in the VIP Room and of course many of the TAs were outside to see Hernan.

Here's a late review... finally grabbed a minute of spare time to write it.
The night started off with us paying $10 (reduced) cover to get in around 11:25 since the bouncer claimed the free guestlist was only until 11:00 (sumabitch)... but that's ok, since we got to hear "El Presidente" himself for only ten bucks (hell, I call that a deal!)
Got in the middle of Dj Mute's pumping set to hear that "De Moma De" track... then ventured around the club to try and catch all the familiar faces in there, including the good old Time2Spark
, Endlesswave, E2EK1EL_D3, Desidel, Steve Mack, Jon Tremblay and the Release Records crew...
Haven't heard much in the VIP room, since by the time we got settled down Hernan got on, and really started off on a good note with all that tribal prog. stuff... what a fucken champ! Around 1:30-2:00 he moved onto some more melodic prog stuff and some trancier tracks, but by 3:00 he started going darker and darker. Too bad that by around 3:30-4:00 we were exhausted and we had to bounce (heck, I missed that last hour of madness from the king), but I am very impressed with what I've heard that night!
Props to all the TA's that I've seen (and all the ones I haven't) for attending the party... sorry for not catching you DJRocco (happy birthday anyway!)... and gotta thank that guy outside the System that hooked us up with free passes to UltraSpin 2. I guess I'll see you guys there again!
me = out...
Wtf? Free passes to Ultraspin 2? Mickey ya bastard!

What a crazy remix! Anybody know who did that mix? |

as the thread page numbers increase, my reading comprehension ability decreases...
steve.
that night was all about Hernan
greatest time i ever had.. and probably the greatest prog set i ever heard. hernan is the man.
i got hooked on the song at the start it went something like 'do what u wana do' 'be wut u wanna be' .. something along those lines in male vocals.. anyone know?
mute's set was top notch as well
pictures anyone?
i also recall some dude in the booth with hernan snapping pics of the crowd.. was that dude with him or who are the pics for?
*cheese*
Well I'm going to post my review now.. but it's going to be short and sweet *sleepy*
I thoroughly enjoyed myself Friday night - it wasn't too overwhelming and I enjoyed just sitting and talking to those who I haven't seen in such a long time! It's nice to know that your still welcomed and remembered by so many people - and new ones as well. I didn't get to meet a lot of the newer TA's except for EZEKIAL (bop bop - you're hillarious - great meeting you) Charmscars (nice girl - didn't really get a chance to "talk" w/ you.. next time) and Hordash (arent you glad I introduced you to this site..hehe - thanks for the shot!)Everyone else I saw and spoke with were TA's that I've known from the beginning. You all know who you are
As for the MUSIC, I don't want to single anybody out but I really liked ESO's set. I love all Trance, but too much progressive kinda gets to my brain and I found that everyone else was spinning a lot of it. I loved how a few classics were thrown in.. brought back some good memories. I missed Mecha's set because we didn't get there until about 11:15'ish (so sorry). The only two things that kinda bothered me that night were the speakers and the heat [as Ezekial (spelling?) had mentioned]
Other than that.. it was a great night and I'm glad that I attended. Thanks guys!
-Sarah
P.S. TATGIRL - when your arm is better - please post those pics.
look .. it's our very own Mindz ..
were you guys in the same club i was?
honestly people, were you? the system i went to on friday was more than a let-down. the bouncers were assholes, making my friends and i pay a "reduced" 10$ cover, even though it was well before 11:30... system sucks because it's such a bad venue... in some places your head feels like it's going to explode because of how loud the music is, and in other places you can hardly hear it... the first few hours of dj's sounded like they were playing their music from a CD... or fading tracks with winamp or something... not very good at all... the people working there kept telling the dj's in the small room to turn down the bass cause it would damage the speakers or something... wtf... trance without bass is like... the terminator without arnold... and lastly as much as it is about the music, trance is also about the audience, and the people who go to these events. i would say that on average, people there were my fathers age (i never knew 40 year old chinese men were into trance...?!?)... there were NO girls... and some ugly UGLY people... i'm not necessarily saying anything about TA's... i'm sure u'r all supermodels out there, but some of the people there, especially the more elderly... their faces just looked like they blocked a kick
then again, not everyone can look like Fabio like i do :P
thats all folks

stop hating on the glog
