Uh, Liam- please speak for yourself in your messages to the dj's, and not anyone else. This matter never concerned you, no one asked u to intervene, and fyi, this issue (which occured 2 mos ago!) was resolved within 2-3 days of its occurance (no one was out to 'get' shaya). You never stuck around long enuf to know that, did u?

Liam (no offence here):

Anybody who is -in- the music industry (which I am not) knows that Mac and ProTools are the preferred platform for production (not PC).

Nearly all the music you hear that has had digital production or editing has either been done on a Mac (with Logic or ProTools) or done on a ProTools rig (w/ ProTools hardware).

I'm not blowing smoke out my ass either, I asked someone who is in the industry, currently working in LA, and someone who has been employed by two major lables (Sony, Universal).

Wake-up call: there's really no point in asking DJ's to spin at a particular club (or not to spin at a particular club). They just go wherever they are booked. If you want them to spin at Viva, then you better ask the promoters!

Liam, get over it, you asked for it with your "it's time you switched to PC" comment...

Please try to spin at a different club in Toronto where your fans can party to your mixing and can enjoy it more properly other than in a sardine can with no air.

Do you honestly think a Superstar DJ like Armin won't turn any night club in T.dot into a sardine can!?!?!
Armin your new CD...well...TURN IT UP A NOTCH NEXT TIME

Settle down rabbit, I was just kidding.

I'm not a homophobe by any means, and certainly not compared to many in this forum.

Yes. In My books, Viva is now 2 for 2. @ Marko V I had more than enough Room to Dance and Was VERY Happy about that. @Flemming AND Orkidea I had PLENTY of Room To dance and was VERY Happy about that and that makes me want to go back there AND not mind the long way because at least there I will have a good time and leave with a smile. The only times I will goto Guv if Armin's spinning there. Otherwise I try to avoid it. I am not telling ppl not go to there cause it is ppls god given right to party where ever the hell they please. I have a choice where to go and party. Guv is not one of those choices.

straight from Armin's site, just more proof that they know we're out there:

What amazed me even more is the people in Calgary
the next day. It was quite heavy to travel to Canada the
day after Sensation. But when I got there, it seemed that
EVERYONE heard my mix of "As The Rush Comes" already...
So I finished the remix on Thursday, played it on
Sensation Saturday, and there where people in Calgary
on Sunday, holding huge signs with: "Armin, please
play your mix of Motorcycle". That's the power of Internet
I guess.

Another thing that I'm really excited about is the
"TA-meetings", as they call them. TA is short for
www.tranceaddict.com, a huge website about trance, progressive
and everything surrounding it. It's like a very big
virtual community. Some of these guys e-mailed my
management, asking for a meet-up in Montreal a few weeks
ago when I played Aria. So we did, and for
the first meeting quite a few "TA's" showed up.
It was great to finally talk to a lot of people who love what
you do and to hear what they like or dislike. The meeting
was such a huge success that we did the same thing in
Calgary and in Miami last weekend. I just got back from
Miami and New York, and I'm just so surprised so many
people turned up and talk with each other about music and
DJ-ing. It's really great to meet the people that love the
music so much.

I'm also very pleased to inform you, 76 will be released
in the USA on the 23rd of September. From October 1 I'll
be doing a large tour in the US and Canada. These are the
confirmed venue's:

Necto /Ann Arbor, Aria/ Montreal, Guvernment/ Toronto,
Dagobert/ Quebec city, 1015/San Fransisco, Circus/ Los Angeles
and Arc/ New York City.

Check the gigs section for most recent updates.

Enjoy this new website, take a look around, and check the
forum so you can
meet other people from all over the world and
share the beauty of music, a Universal Religion...

I hope you have the best summer EVER!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Mauro Picotto,

Would you lead the next tranceaddict invasion!

Maybe by then i'll learn to spin some techno.

Ah i can see the flyer now!

And this time tear the roof off so we dont have spider-man wannabes!

Armin van Buuren

The TAs in San Francisco have already set this up with Armin's management. And the show is four month away. Let us know if anyone has taken care of this in TO.
