oh for god's sake, do some work on discogs.com if you're clueless from the start...
"The Quest" is M.B. De Geoij, aka the guy from Rank 1 and Kamaya Painters. Perhaps you've heard of those before?
(sorry for the outburst, but the blatant mistake bothered me.... no offense intended)

M.U.T.E. - Missed Beat
Never even heard the original... only the Hiver & Hammer and DuMonde remixes
here's a one hit wonder....
Dream Traveler - Time
There were only 1000-1500 copies of the record pressed to begin with.
(the first track on Oakenfold's Tranceport)
His real name is Joey Fehrenbach, apparently he has a couple other releases, one that was on GU 024. But I've never actually heard any other tune by him.

man chill out, my intention was never to start a war or something. i thought those aliases would be good examples of one-hit wonders under THOSE Aliases. there's no neeed to insult. and yes, i think Carte Blanche is a goood example too as there are only a few one-hit wonders made by collaborations.

| Originally posted by GrimReaper Ayla sure isn't a one hit wonder, Ayla might be the best known production but Ingo "DJ Tandu" Kunzi is behind a million other great Ayla tunes and other aliases. U should definately try these from Ayla: Ambience, Angelfalls, Liebe (remake of the Cosmic Baby classic) What about The Quest - Shaken Not Stirred? I actually prefer that one. Heh, don't wanna be nasty here.. but u have mixed up an artist and a track here.. Ayla has nothing to do with Kosmonova. Kosmonova is the artist (Michael Nehrig & Jan Vervloet) who made a remake of Ayla - Ayla. |

Cistern F - After out of the blue who heard from this guy??
Ferry Borsten - I heard this guy once but he was shit
Armin Van Buudden - has he even release any tracks?
What about DJ Tiesta? - after expresstrain i heard nothing!
Pete Van Dyk - For an Angel was quite good - nothing since
Sash! - Sash! was good - until that Sasha pretended to be him - unless they are the same person?

how about slusnik luna - sun? i'm sure they had another tune recently, but it was nowhere near as succesful as sun...

| Originally posted by GrimReaper Tandu has had a more quiet time in his life for some time, only some remixes every now and then. And then we can't forget him being Safri Duo's "background producer". Some new Ayla stuff would be great though. Even if i'm a Ayla/Tandu fan, Sun Is Coming Out really wasn't anything too spectacular IMO, it almost falls into the masses of million similar tunes. The synths used were just so common in like every other tunes today. I'm hoping something better in the future. |

I'm probably waaay off with these candidates but I'll get my facts straight if nothing else!
DJ Hooligan - Hear You Now (Remember? Tisto's very own favorite a couple of years ago... and I loved it even more than him!
)
The Conductor & The Cowboy - Feeling This Way(Solarstone mixed this track but IMO the original was a quality tune already, sooo many memories
)
And ofcourse - as someone mentioned briefly, most probably the best one hit wonder we'll ever hear:
Binary Finary - 1998, 1999, 2000 & 2002 (I know they released a few more tracks after this hit but none of them came remotely close to this one)
Again, I'm far from certain on everyone of my candidates but they're sure as hell worth a mention!
