And I wasn't trying to be "cool." I was voicing my opinion. Isn't that what a review thread is for?

It's a standard uplifter with full-on cheese eurotrance vocals. I don't have anything against Oceanlab; Clear Blue Water is classic. But this is pretty bad, especially considering the talent behind it.

isn't "standard uplifter" the kind of style above and beyond or oceanlab use in all their productions? clear blue water is just another standard uplifter by your definition

markus schulz remix is decent... it should me more of a dub, these vocals are just not working.

original i think is alright but the vocals really give it a cheese kick.... not the best vocals ever!

agreed.
I used to think A&B (and all their various aliases) were talented producers. These days I think they suck...no variety, no innovation...I can tell an A&B production from the first kick. This sounds like every other A&B production out there. For the first 2 minutes of the track I actually thought it would be OK, but then when the breakdown & melody hits, it falls into major predictability and dullness...
bleh
Markus Schulz's remix on the other hand is pretty damn good. Still, something feels lacking...I give the original mix a 4/10, and Markus rmx a 8/10

You can sound the same without repeating yourself, you know.

No, I didn't mean you, I meant the artists.
An artist can have a significant style and at the same time sound different every time, you don't need to recycle your sounds.

I can only imagine what brought that on.
You don't have many friends, do you?

Bellend.

exactly

you want to use Armin as an example: Blue Fear 2003 vs. Communication...both are obviously Armin tracks and have his distinctive sound, but they are both very different as well and stand out from one another

can't wait to get this tune!
it's amazing!!!

Paavo, Jono and Tony, keep on well!!!

I've heard the original and it's pretty good.

Posted by mentalbarter on Dec-04-2003 12:53:

her saying baby really annoys me
such a stupid word in the context used
good song otherwise

Posted by MadMats on Dec-04-2003 15:47:

i bet they play the Above & Beyond remix of it today on XXL!

yihaa! hope its good

Posted by Turbotrance on Dec-18-2003 00:02:

Promos of the Above & beyond mix are out, its good but the Markus Schultz mix is better pure quality

I believe Above and Beyond mix = Original.....someone might labeled it wrong

I think both remixes are mint

i hate to say it but i prefer the original over the schulz remix this time. markus's remix is just a tad too monotonous and takes off too late. but still very good, the original is just, great.

dont be a hater...

Original is massive, perhaps the best Oceanlab yet, if not then certainly the most energetic since Clear Blue Water and the vocal is pretty good too. I hated Beautiful Together with a passion (Signum remix excepted) so this is a welcome return to quality from the A&B boys. Have yet to hear Schulz's mix.

Uhh, I don't know if you've been listening to the same track but the vocals are so horribly cheesy that they ruin the entire tune.

I've been trying to make a remix of this (to which nothing but the vocals were submitted) and I just can't... they're just... horrible.

Hello!

the verse which precedes the build up to this track is excellent. her enunciation has a unique sound and never has the word 'baby' sounded so good in a trance track. and that little bleepy noise behind the vocals really adds something to the track.

However, i reckon the breakdown/build-up is just ur standard trance by numbers fodder. I'lll check out the schulz remix to see if that's more impressive.

Posted by Settepotet on Dec-18-2003 12:08:

it is....utter pleasure
