NUNRG is amazing and you are not This is a music discussion and most people in this thread are too lazy to discuss anything, rather they just make sarcastic comments which do not add to the conversation. 13am you should change your name to 13 years old, cause you dont know the first thing about music or trance. - who cares if you have been djing in your bedroom for 6 months. youre a geek |
[insert sarcasm]
*looks around*
I dunno what you are all bitching about, but whenever I want something full of energy and an upfliting feeling, I put on Nu-NRG-Live_at_Orgasmatron-09-07-2002 tracks 5 thrue 7..8! WHen I hear those tracks, I have a huge urge to do "Hands in the air" and scream "WOOHOOO!!!!" It does it for me every fucking time!!!
When you are driving, damn!!! Prepare to go on a highway!
Lesson: Nu-Nrg is awesome!
This is a real good thread. We should have more of these quality discusions/flame wars.

| Originally posted by Vesa != Nu-NRG != melodic trance ![]() Whether Nu-NRG ever sells out or not, one thing is sure. No Central-European uplifting melodic trance can ever be accepted by fans of "cool" trance. Even if the producers made a track for months, their reaction would be just the same. There'll always be sound Nazis who are prejudiced against the melodic genre, and attach every possible downgrading attribute to it based on who-knows-what ![]() I was especially irritated to see the word pop. It refers to popular music. How many Central European uplifting tracks are on pop charts? What is the likelihood of an uplifting producer ever getting to some other country's charts? Doesn't look to me like the Nu-NRG style would be a good choice for a producer who wants to go pop. I'd rather say that lots of the "cool" trance has now a bigger chance of becoming pop than the Nu-NRG style. Anyway, if Nu-NRG sells out, there will be a dozen similar producers to continue their non-commercial sound. Just browse through the catalogue of: http://www.germantrance.com |
In the red corner: people who don't like producers X
In the blue corner: people who likes them and gets pissed at the people who don't, YET at the same time ripping exactly the same producers off by stealing their music in form of mp3 downloading and inflicting more damage on the producers than people that doesn't enjoy their music.
No moral judgement intended, just a funny observation.

yes NUNRG does rock
heres proof that I know what im talking about
at the music downloads 'live sets' section there is a voting option and look who is pretty much tied for first with the second highest average... NUNRG with 9.25 THIS IS NOT A TOP 40 VOTE - ITS A TA VOTE.
for the longest time they had the highest average - this I remember.
At first I was disappointed with the earlier comments in this thread, because there really wasn't much discussion or debate on this topic. it was more like "yeah well your stupid".
but thanks to a few brighter people it was opened up a little to some discussion of points of view. - makes me question the age of most people on this board.
I definitely expected people to take the opposite stance and disagree, but in a more orthodox debating way.
all I know is that this topic is on many peoples minds, and I just didnt post this on a whim. Its a topic thats been in my head for years, and many of the responses have been in peoples heads for 6 minutes.

well "avro" i dont really accept to the words you said at the begginning
i dont think that tiesto is even gettin closed to do pop music non the less paul van dyk ferry armin and more...
i like nu nrg style but not all of their works...
though even what i like less by them is not cheesy
you cant say tiesto getting cheesy
you want some real cheese..?
well pulsedriver, scooter, starsplash, eve megara vs dj lee lately are examples to cheesy trance mostly they are ex-hardtrancer dunno why is that but its just like that
and to everyone i think nu-nrg are not alone in the quality breakthroughs of the scene
i wanna remind all of you the b-e-a-utifoul style of flutlicht (they are really have a nice form lately) euphonic (very similar to nu nrg style) dave 202 & phil green and more that i cant remember right now
bottom line: enjoy the music love the music and even if everyone will love it it doesnt really say that our music has becomed cheesy
it also can say that most of the people started to love it...
anyway any 0f these two seems to be right now very far from happening
i highly doubt nu nrg will sell out. theyre not popular enuff globally to sell out.
nu-nrg are already.
but some of their productions, nameley remixes are far from superb qaulity, a lot of basic elements and that whacked together with a bit of energy to hook in, as it seems, a lot of you guys.
that doesnt make one of the best trance producers around, mark my works.
they just arnt good enough or globally popular enough to have the luxary of being able to sell out.
soz for pissing on ur fire.
For me the Orgasmatron set, at least the first one, was a total bomb when I first heard it. And stil they are rocking big time. Some of their remixes and recent production is awsome. Sorry or actually glad the taste differ from ppl to ppl. Would be quite boring if everyone liked the same thing.
But all this flaming and personal insult that occure on this site I think no one like.. am I wrong??
Ppl are in title to have their own opinion, no reason to get rude.
And stil, Nu NRG is in imo f***** awsome, hope they never sell out.
Peace

| Originally posted by DiS This downloading mp3 and ripping the music industry argument is a rather silly one. Lets not go into this, but when it comes to Nu-Nrg, I have only their sets. I don't think they suffer anyhow from me downloading their sets. Plus, why would I, an average listner, purchase their Vinyls despite the fact that they are awesome? I understand that you didn't mean Nu-Nrg specifilly, but I do. Nu-Nrg still rocks! |
