hi my name is Pierre and i have alotta gino friends.
i also had gina ex gfs.
i play soccer, my fav soccer brand is adidas, puma. I think kappa makes pretty decent soccer stuff. i never wear hats that because i have curly hair. I do use 1 bottle of gel a month though. I drive my mom's Buick Regal, my fav car is Porsche 911 or what i plan on buying after i graduate: Pontiac Grand Prix GTP or BMW M3 Coupe.

um.... i never had to go through the gino stages since i grew up listening to rock, old school electro and trip hop. I crossed into trance in 98,99... in the uprising of Tiesto, Blank and Jones and DuMonde..

i've always been considered a gino by the commoners because i listen to electronic music and i've grown used to it. I don't have to explain to any of u what i listen to.. it's up to u to decide whether i'm a gino or not.. and frankly i don't give two shits.

I THINK it's about time we give those poor suckers a break and stop bitching.. gino this, gino that... this isn't about them.. this forum is about US. It's for us, to us and by us.
Now stop wasting swamper's bandwidth.

Posted by tha_broad on Jul-29-2003 23:45:

heheheheh...what about swampers bandwidth????

Posted by Swamper on Jul-30-2003 01:35:

Don't worry about the bandwidth - the forums are peanuts compared to the downloads - like... 1/8th... lol.

Posted by DigiNut on Jul-30-2003 01:43:

Plus it's bandwidth well spent in knowing that you're not alone in this.

Posted by Chiclet on Jul-30-2003 02:19:

Hey you know, don't knock them too much. They're more hardcore than ravers nowadays, lol.

When I used to spin at Film Lounge, the floor would still be packed at 6am and many refused to leave. After Film, they'd head to Comfort Zone and I would go home and crash. Granted, many of them where on a ton of drugs.

I never thought I'd see the day when ginos dance longer than ravers.

Posted by ++ EGO ++ on Jul-30-2003 03:16:

gina's are sexy...

and about being a "gino"
I don't know man.. it all depends on what you classify gino's as...
I don't listen to the cheap dance music, nor shave my legs
butt uhhh, like dress and stuff? Im not sure...
I dunno, I wouldn't consider myself as 1

My non-trance friends, the ignorant ones.. call me a gino for listening to trance. But lately they have been noticing a difference in the quality trance provides as opposed to the gino crap they play on the radio.

In any event, i went to a VERY gino highschool called Sir John A. Macdonald or MAC as it is known as...and throughout my days there, the gino freestyle music was in full force. At the dances they would play "runaway" by the Real Mccoy and "There is a star" and "The Ryhthm of Love" and "Memories".

I always was in search for a style that encompassed what trance provides but couldnt find it..,.. i always knew there was a genre of music that was better and more euphoric then the shit they played at the dances and the radio and "CASABLANCA" (the "club" of my school).

Then came Robert Miles and after that, the internet, where i began to find TRANCE....where before i didnt know where to find any of it and it was difficult to locate.

So all in all, The only reason why i listened to that gino crap was because it was the closest thing to the genre i was yearning for, but couldnt find. It had a beat and synths, but it was cheezy.

Now i am happy that a beat and some synths are not mangled into that type of music, but a creation all of us enjoy today.

amen to that..
96, summer time. One saturday afternoon watching TV, and CityTV comes on... it was the chum top40 countdown and it was music video #1.... Rober Milles - Children. I was in shock.. nothing that sounded like cheese to me... the piano riff was by far the most beautiful sound i heared and.. well, my first time i was entranced.

well the euphoria died, so did the music video and i totally forgot about it. Ifit wasn't for that music video, i would have been listening to top 40 till the day i die.
Thank u Roberto, u saved us all... here in Canada anyway.

wasn't till 2 years until i picked up trance again in 98. Fall of 98, i was introduced to a raver chick who gave me a blank and jones set.
"Nightclubbing" that did it for me...
first rave @ 16 years old, then i switched and starting going to clubs tilli was almost 17..... from then, i got to know trance. from 99-2002, became a trance.nu member in late 2001... then discovery of TA late 2002.

too bad i didn't find u guys earlier.. but it's funny cuz i was listening PVD - Live in Cream@Amnesia and Rusch from Nova969 gave a shoutout to all the TranceAddicts so i thought to myself: huh? TAs? OMG there is a forum section to TA!!! hmmm wow Toronto section too!

then there i am.

edit: oh yea.. and somewhere in there DI fits in... late 99 istarted listening to DI... thank god i stopped.

hrmm with me it all started with 2 Unlimited! when there first tape came out I had finally found the kind of music that fit me best.. I listend to all kinds of music before, and could never really get the vibe of rap, or alternative and such. Then it was off with Scooter - Hyper Hyper and that song settled it for me. I went through a bit of a Happy Hardcore phase.. "Dune" and so on.. and then.. discovered Antiloop and whamo it all started from there with trance. Was on mIrc for ever.. hung out in #dancemp3 on Efnet and others.. met loads of people, even swamper! Became a member of a trance/techno releasing group.. started to amass enormous amounts of music.. then quit the "scene" for school and such. Came back from school realized how great the scene is here and joined up. I went through a Euro phase back in 98/99 back when Vengaboys was first released heh but I got over it REAL fast.
