again sorry if i came harsh but..

trance (imo) seems to follow a certain trend..

most trance unlike some artists such as slacker, is very "cookie cutterish" they follow the same guidelines...

progressive is never the same its always different... but thats just my opinion.

non-sense and off-topic alert in this message, sorry for that and you've been warned

Imagine 3 people here doing a test
I play 4 pure sine wave notes 1 and then a major 3rd followed by and the 3rd and 4th are a repeat of 1st and 2nd
A: Dislike
B: No comment
C: No comment
The 4 notes are now reverbed and with a huge feedback delay in a short percussive timbre
A: Dislike
B: Interesting
C: No comment
The 4 notes are now in a slow attack orchestra strings
A: Dislike
B: Hmm ok
C: Dunno
Now let's play 5 chords like this Em - Em(6) - Am - Bm - Em in piano
A: Nice
B: Not Bad
C: Just some song
Now listen to this sample
A: Typical pop tune
B: Can't comment, just an intro
C: Oh it is xxx - xxxx that tune, great tune

Sorry no offense to anyone.
And sorry Freezel for misleading your post

I listen to music , not someone's attitude or "the progressive genre categorization"

Armin said his music isn't trance, that trance doesn't really exist anymore... in a way i agree, the trance we have today is nothing like the older version of trance....
as long as it's melodic, yet pounding it's great! and armin is great in combining those 2
