I like it too! =)
this is stupid, its clearly a newbie with bad taste argument vs non newbies with better taste
most ta's in training come in here and realize that what they listen to is pretty bad and go on to better stuff
uhmmm
You know what? I love all kinds of electronic music: Trance,House, Hardcore, Hardstyle,Breakbeat,Techno.
But i do like Lasgo ,Milk Inc and Ian Van Dahl.
And i'd rather hear Lasgo 12234 times then Fiti cent or Nelly

i wouldnt mind lasgo. . . . . . . . .if i was with a girl. . . . in bed.
Bumping old threads makes you cool!
bump bippity bump
Wow interesting thread... all I can say is, as time progresses and people become further engaged into the electronic music scene, tastes tend to mature. Producers like IvD and Lasgo don't seem to appeal to those more mature tastes (at least in my opinion). Granted, a few tracks will sound good from some typical "cheese" producers and some tracks from typically good producers will sound crappy, but that's the whole name of the game. Nobody said you have to like everything...
For those IvD fans, I found guys like Lange and Oceanlab to bring an awesome sound of more "cheese-free" trance and still using strong vocals. Give these guys a try

my opinion on this is, if it's good in my ears then it's good. you can call it cheesy if you want, i don't care. i've bought lasgo & ivd singles, i liked the song and i bought it.
i agree what aloep said earlier, when it comes to some of the belgian & dutch "cheese"/commercial dance music, it's better than the stuff that comes out from germany & the uk.
I remember I used to love Lasgo, but actually the compilation/tune that got me into trance was Tiesto - Theme From Norefjell/Magik Six. But it was after this I started to listen to Lasgo.
So what i'm trying to say is that there is not necessarily a development. Or, there is, but a development doesn't necessarily make you stop listening to other types of music. I still have a peek listen to a Lasgo song now and then... but I have enough knowledge/experience to say that Lasgo isn't anywhere close to what Tiesto, Armin and so on spin/produce.
My point is: I think the most important thing isn't what you listen to, but that you know what kind of music it is and what kind of status it has.
i'll tell you a little secret...
i sat in class with the lasgo singer (evi goffin) one year (luckily just 1). hah omg she was stooopid! and she was already doing it for the 2nd time! but ehm... she was/is hot!
Hehe, cool
Lucky you! She is nice=) What does she do beside singing, any idea ?
Edit: Was she hard to get ?

It's ridiculous the stuff some of the people here consider 'cheese'....Blank & Jones? Cosmic Gate? I mean c'mon....huh? Stop sucking Tiesto and Armin's dicks for a little. |

yeah flame all you want. I'm a prog whore now

im glad aloep replied to this thread, he seems one of the only level headed people on this board. if it wasnt for the likes of you mate, id go insane
What about Pronti & Kalamani (who remixed janeiro last year), do you commercial bashers consider them cheese? i thought they did a dam good remix, but i reckon you guys will oppose this opinion once you see who they also produce under..
a great tune to check out aswell..
DJ Sammy - Appalachian Fall
and dont forget armin played DJ Sammy - Sunlight on asot numerous times. that pulser remix was quite phat mind you!
That one is very nice! =) Ey, and don't be embarrased to say that the Hiver & Hammer Vocal Remix is good too
