great night

got off work @ 10, has to meet someone, wait for someone else, pile everyone in a taxi and finally get to the place. It was really awkward, I tried saying hi to some people I slightly remembered but all I got was blank faces I'm glad I at least got a picture with him. My heart was beating out of my chest!

The show was amazing, the highlight of the night was the Marco V remix of clocks. Theres no chance that that'll ever get released, and I figured I won't see many djs play it in the future, so I savoured every second of it... I went crazy! Just like the time he drop "My Religion" at twisted, everytime I think back to that moment i'll smile.

At 3 I saw Azim hitting the decks and heard the beggining of "Loneliness", thats when I decided it was time to head home and let my ears recover.

alrighty then , thats it
peace

DEAR GOD.. WHY IS ARMIN SO HOT >_<

Posted by Seany_G on Aug-10-2003 19:51:

Wow guys, thanks for the great evening. I had so much fun dancing with you guys and hanging with you when we met armin. He was so down to earth and so cool about everything. He didnt hesitate to answer one question. We asked him all sorts of stuff. Even his girlfriend was very friendly. I still can't believe that he finished a law degree while he was spinning all over the world. He said it was quite hard to do....OBVIOUSLY. He was so good about taking pictures and being friendly when he was obviously very tired. He said that it was 8am in his home town and he had flown all night.

And what happened with the bill? I think I ended up paying someone elses because I only had one beer and i paid something like 14 bucks??? Oh well, the waitress was pretty frazzled so I just went along with it. So yeah I covered someone elses and maybe I paid for my beer and maybe i didn't??? IF someone knows i'll give them the 5$ for my beer.

Wicked set tho. Harder than I thought it was going to be. I love how Armin and Tiesto dance...they do this sort of hop thing. IT's funny because it looks cool and funy. It must be a dutch thing.

Thanks for letting me come even tho i don't post in the Western Canada form very often (I'm usually in the DJ booth or the production studio )

Hope to see you in October when (and if) Armin comes back.

I was hoping that Armin would spin until 4am too.

When I asked Kraig about this possibility at 2am he told me the extra hour would have cost them more money.

How much more I do not know.

In any case it was one great night of music.

Behold, my arse.

^Got an issue...........HERE"S A TISSUE!

Posted by apri_peel on Aug-11-2003 18:44:

right then

just to keep those who are interested updated, the ASOT thing went through so we'll be there on the 21st. my bf has no idea where the place is located so we'll probably have fun looking for it. just please dont hate me. apparently, it's not a big deal for someone to be in the studio, so next time you're in holland, drop armin's manager a line

Posted by kate on Aug-11-2003 18:58:

You are so lucky Elena!!! I hate you

I had an awesome time at Armin! Really got into the music once As the Rush Comes came on and just partied for the rest of the night. The sound hurt my ears too, they were ringing all the next day and I was super out of it after sleeping 3.5 hours, but it was all worth it!! Can't wait to see him again soon

Highlighth of the night for me was: Ricky Fobis - No Regular

Ruled!!

Armin and Ferry are cool fucking dudes for doing this type of thing for Canadian TA's. (let's not tell the Americans hehe) I hope the Toronto area TA's will have the chance to meet Ferry on August 31st and then Armin later in October when he does his 76 promotional tour.

Now only if we could get Mick Jag..I mean Tiesto to do this sort of thing.

Not bloody likely.

Posted by apri_peel on Aug-11-2003 20:06:

i emailed dave brady thanking him for bringing armin out to us, when he replied, he said armin may not be in vancouver until next march, so all of us lucky bums who had fun, better make it last long

Posted by Widget on Aug-11-2003 20:37:

Elena - nice! Make sure you take photos.

Armin was good. I don't mind taking a loong break from clubbing for a while and recover (and save money).

And everyone, chill on the track names, relaaaax.

If you read the thread, I THOUGHT(and addmitted I was wrong) he played Turbulence at the end. I never said he spun Obsession however.......

Are you happy know? Your right and i'm wrong, feel better?

Posted by mikefasssy on Aug-11-2003 21:09:

I hearby proclaim the Frank Biazzi - Turbelence issue solved. So lets move on to better things....like focusing on how goddamn lucky elena is!!!!!!!!

Posted by DjFIL on Aug-12-2003 00:17:

*drool...* oh yeah... that's the track thanks elena. And i'd say go to mystery land... I'd so go with a huge freakin 10+ stage event in a huge garden... espicaly for sven vath, that'll be way cool.

For my hearing... it's now like 72 hours later... is almost back to normal. I'm guessing it'll be back to where it should be by tommorow, and i'm guessing going out last night to see freaky chakara here in nanaimo didn't help much either.

Posted by dartrance on Aug-12-2003 00:28:

Tiesto doing that?? yeah right

and even if there was a slight chance he would have to be touring canada, and last i heard he is done for this year

you'll feel weird for at least a day or two hehe

when i went to picotto's show in april, i stood really close to a speaker, at the time, it felt fine cause the sound system at sonar is pretty good, the next day i woke up with loud ass ringing in my right ear, i had a hard time hearing ppl that day, the ringing remained for a few days, it was not healthy at all lol

Posted by grtthr on Aug-12-2003 16:07:

Confused

Did Armin played 'Karada - Last Flight' or was it 'Little wonder - eclipse "?

Posted by Sean Walsh on Aug-12-2003 16:36:

He definitely didn't play Little Wonder.

Ugh.....well no shit that he'd have to be touring Canada.

And you "last heard" from who? Your local promoter?
