1408 was awesome. Definitely going to purchase the DVD once out.
I decided to break down and replace a few DVD's I had stolen from me over the years, and I received my copies of Kids In the Hall: Brain Candy and Wet Hot American Summer today.

Myra's never seen "Brain Candy" - so I'm stoked to get her ripped and watch it, though it's been hard not to pop it in today

I'm not a fan of most horror flicks simply because most of the time all they're trying to do is be bloody and get you to jump. 1408 actually fucked with your mind a little bit; I started getting claustrophobic watching it (I never get claustrophobic) and kind of felt like I was in his shoes and just wanted to off myself to end it all. Great film in that regard, and I'd love to see more horror flicks that fuck with your head like that. |
does adding dots and colons to a thread title add to its officiality?

From JJ Abrams (untitled project)
I saw this trailer attached with Transformers, it blew everyone away.
Starts out looking like a retard teen flick, then a HUGE explosion is seen in New York and some monster noises.
Some people are linking it loosely to the television series, LOST
(the irony is that it was captured on a video camera, but the movie itself is shot with handicams, so it's a VERY raw looking image)

| Cloverfield is the working title for a 2008 film being produced by J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk, written by Drew Goddard and directed by Matt Reeves. The film is scheduled to be released by Paramount Pictures on January 18th, 2008. The premise is a giant alien known as "The Parasite" invades Earth and it is filmed entirely with handheld cameras. [1] Also known is that the movie isn't even done filming and the trailer was filmed before the movie was finished. Not much is known about the movie, and it has been widely regarded as a secret movie and Cloverfield may be a temporary working title [2]. [edit] Teaser Trailer A teaser trailer was shown prior to the screening of Transformers. The trailer consisted of raw camera footage. During the trailer, a group of friends in their 20-30s are throwing a party for "Rob" who is moving. They feel vibrations and assume that it is an earthquake and quickly evacuate to the rooftop. Once there, they see explosions and debris flying, and a terrifying roar echos in the streets. You can hear a voice shout "It's alive! It's huge!". The final scene features another terrifying roar and an object careening into buildings and crashing near to the camera operator in the street. When the object comes to rest, we can see that it is something that resembles the head of the Statue of Liberty. The title of the film was not shown during the trailer. |

shit
my pants only have a few quarters in them and I desperately want to see both:
Danny Boyle's Sunshine.
(and here i was thinking Fox Searchlight was only going to be a cheap trick churning out splatter/gore/snuff films)
and The Simpson's Movie.
i watched batman and pulp fiction lastnight on tv and the punisher tonight!!!!
good movies!
'the usual suspects', probably my all-time favorite for it's plot, dialogue, direction, cast, seamy topic, blackness

Sunshine is pure eye candy..one of the better movies I've seen this year. I really enjoyed Death Proof - Luckily the movie was released in its extended version in Europe (including the awesome Lad Dance scene!) since Tarantino/Rodriguez apparently learned from the mistake of combining both "Grindhouse" movies and instead realese them seperately here.
