holy shit now thats food for thought.. never really thought about that being one of the possible reasons y we fared so badly in the transfer market but makes a whole lotta sense... fukin maggot kenyon i still think we got a fantastic chance in the EPL not so sure about europe this year... lets hope we can land defoe and a class defender during the january transfer window

Yeah. And afaik chelsea went after ferguson around the start of the summer, so they probably tried to get kenyon around the same time, giving him plenty of time to do their dirty work.
And i could never work out why we didnt sign duff. If beckhams worth �25m and rio ferdinands worth �29m, duffs worth �40m easily, especially considering we couldve got a good 10 years out of him. �17m wouldve been a bargain. Theres not a chance of getting him at that price in a year or 2.
Whenever i heard he was delaying signing for chelsea because he wanted to go to united, i just automatically assumed we were getting him, but then kenyon turns round and says we dont want him. Wtf was that about?

I think we will win the epl this season.
Mainly, the champions league is between real madrid, milan, valencia and man utd. But i dont think we will win.
Defoe isnt good enough for us. Theres no point in us buying a striker who isnt in the same class as van nistelrooy. We need to spend big to improve and really be able to compete with the 3 best clubs.

If thats what they are saying then its bull. Most supporters from the lower leagues are the real fans. Go to a Man U game and the place will be as noisy as a local library for 85mins. The other 5 is when when Man U get a goal. If you go to a lower league game where there is about 4,000 people watching. 95% of them will sign they harts out for the whole of the game and make more noise then a packed 40,000 seater stadium at a Man U game.

I support Derby. Of course there are teams in the leagues that i prefere over others, but i dont support them. COME ON YOU RAMS!!!

BTW all these ppl who choose teams from all over the world, you are better getting involved in the local communinty by upporting them. Yes the lower league fans are actually better than "most" top flight football fans. Supporting a team includes passion etc...

If ur a true football fan of a club u should be real pissed off if u lose against a local rival or something, coz then u know that team is in ur blood. Iv been known to have aa terrible week ebcause we lost to forest last year....i was so fucking pissed!!!

my favourite team is STEAUA BUCHAREST from Romania. I support them from 1983...jizus! 20 years! now I realized that...

also I like Ajax Amsterdam and all teams with romanian players in it

this is really the best we did in terms of tifo at the opener, we had a lot of problems. the section was packed though, great atmosphere

And i hope football would get popular in North America so then they would stop calling soccer and would call it football .

Mine is Juventus FC for sure. One of the two clubs to never be relegated from the Serie A, along with Inter. Always sport the national team goalkeeper for Italy, and have produced some of the best known Italian strikers every generation. We seem to have a knack for buying midfielders who become footballers of the year etc. - Zidane, Nedved, Davids.
