Actually, I've got nothing personal against her, but I have to believe she really is being an attention whore. Let's keep this mind:
1) She has rarely, if ever, posted in the chillout room.
2) She's leaving because her boyfriend is leaving.
3) She made no such announcement in the Toronto forums.
4) She's seen TOTA through countless other flamewars, including a great multitude of partyprincess-related threads, and didn't have this problem until it was her b/f getting flamed [for good reason]
She came to the chillout just to badmouth other people from the Toronto forums, and to solicit some kind of pity I guess... oh well, in terms of her it makes no difference to me, but please fellas, don't be a bunch of pussy-whipped nincompoops going "OMG A GIRL MADE A POST, LET'S ALL SUCK UP TO HER!!"
And yes, I was involved in this "drama", and unfortunately you guys won't be able to see the whole thing because of the deleted posts, but it was quite fun.

actually i didnt make myself look like the loser at all..i just stayed in character....but you on the other hand with ur "hey i thought we were friends till i read what u posted on the internet" line just completed ur personailty profile and left u in the loser category...congradulations you get a gold sticker!

by the way diginut just wanted to tell u on a more personal note that i do respect u cause if u ask me ur pretty damn intelligent but thats not enough respectfor me to think ur a stand up guy...basically i think as a person ur fuckin twat.. but u do have intellect so i hope that brightens ur day a bit...

The internet and reality are two complete different worlds... im not sure if ppl agree on what im about to say but message boards I feel when someone posts its not how the would act in real life most of the time...It might be what theyre thinking but in a normal discussion in real life ppl wouldnt say half the shit they say here or act the way they act here...take me for example u think if we were all in one big room i would be running around causing shit the whole time ? :P prolly not... i have that in me no doubt abt it but i wouldnt be doing in public in a room full of ppl i didnt know...u see being behind a screen adds confidence to ppl and adds less shame because nobody really knows who u are and therefore makes it easier to express things ur thinking but are to scared to say in real life ...and i know ur gonna say but i know him in real life ,but it dont matter..in my opinion ur judging a group of ppl on how they think not how they are...and thats something u cannot judge or base an opinon on in my books...so if u ask me i dont think they are jackassess i think they were being real and expressing what they thought without having the little voice in their head saying "hey u cant say that ull make someone feel bad" cause theres no little voice on the net...so you can disagree with what they think no doubt but to judge someone on the way they think i think is wrong...
this may make no sense but this is a hard issue to put into words...
When you get emotionnaly involed in an online discussion and loose sight of the purpose of a forum it's time to slap yourself several times, take a break to enjoy reality, then go back to virtual discussion with a clear mind.

I understand what you're saying Eric, but you're wrong in saying that I'm "basing my opinion of them from a message board" - I told you, I've met those people, several times.
But if people talk shit - especially people like those two, posting threats to me in the thread - it doesn't matter what medium they use to say it on. And I think this is your problem too, man - you seem to think that just because someone is saying it on the 'net, it gives them license to say whatever they want. I honestly don't understand the "it's a message board" attitude and probably never will, perhaps that's because when I think of TOTA I'm thinking of people I know closely, and when you're thinking of it, you're thinking of people you've never met and never will. I think the "it's just a forum" attitude is basically a copout people use when they piss off other people in the community.
You're free to believe that anything you (or they) say is okay because it's on a message board, but I don't happen to agree with you. They posted a lot of offensive remarks, and just because they didn't say it to our faces did not make them any less offensive.
If your attitude in person is different from how it is on the forum, then good for you. I'd like to point out, however, that you are doing exactly what you are criticizing me for doing, i.e. making assumptions about me on a message board without ever having met me or knowing anything about me.
