Talking

Adelaide crew get ready as well. I'm in the process of trying to bring Armin here to the city of churches. Not confirmed but myself and Traffic are laying the groundwork. Giddy-up.

Good luck with that Solace, for sure. Holy crap, a armin show in the middle of summer would be unbelievable. Massive croud, booze, late sunset, down at some beach side venue (okay, I'm getting carried away with the beach thing but still I can dream can't I). Just make sure it's promoted to the hilt so we get a good crowd for Armin...if you get him of course . Fingers crossed.

armin at traffic?

nice and intimate hehee

but yer, that would be wicked!!!

I know its only early, but it would be better IMO, if the outside wasnt going with hardcore!

Just have the presale tickets, like PVD, 2 levels, but just the one DJ going.

fark, Armin in Adelaide, that thought had NEVER crossed my mind, good luck Heath!

weeeee

b1, Gumble. Keep those fingers crossed, as this is gonna take some doing. But we will try.

I'm a regular in the #armind chat room for ASOT every Thursday morning, so I'll see if I can get his attention and twist his arm next week. May have to enlist the help of some other ASOTers perhaps...*b1 wonders off musing over the best possible attack strategy*

Price seems to be the main stumbling block. I won't go into costs obviously, but if we can get it down just a fraction then its very doabull. This is Adelaide after all, and we cant afford some prices simply due to our numbers. But we can come close. Heres hoping. It would be good for Adelaide and trance in Adelaide if we can secure class acts like Armin.

Big Ears

any details on the perth leg of his aus journey yet?

Posted by Huebor on Oct-27-2003 02:37:

I _might_ know something...

Posted by b1_ on Oct-27-2003 08:41:

JoeCool: don't forget there's a live chat tomorrow with Armin as guest at inthemix.com.au so it's likely we'll find where he's going then. If he's not forthcoming you could always just ask him in that chat. He does have relatives in Perth I believe (mum and dad I think), so maybe you'll be in luck; but then again, I don't think visiting the rellies has anything to do with whether he'll do a gig or not.

If you can sell 500-650 tickets at around $40 just like for PvD@Traffic....

No wait, on second thoughts...

even that wouldn't be enough

Posted by stamper on Oct-27-2003 11:59:

Yeah do it PvD styles, you'll be able to make money that way. I'm just not sure that Armin has the same appeal as PvD though, but anyway try your hardest!!

Gees you mustn't work Fridays! I tried staying up for the show but its only on at like 4.30 in the morning or something isnt it?

No, don't work Fridays usually. When I do I abstain from ASOT, although I have tried doing both a few times - oooh, gawd...

ASOT is just horribly timed for Australia and Asia, and listening to a ripped version is just not the same as live. Never mind, us Aussie Armin fans will soldier on, and stock lots of coffee.

It says on inthemix that Armin is playing at Sublime, Sydney.

I'm praying this is a mistake.

yea i saw that! Great venue, i just hope they choose the support acts correctly! Hmmm maybe this is my chance to play at sublime

its weird tho, cause i heard they were still trying to see who would be promoting it.
