The whole night can be summed up by "Great Southern Land". I'm sure matt_a will agree

Great meeting Virginia, Duncan, Gerry and Jules (top cameo mate ) and hopefully we'll be able to do it again soon (anyone for Stacy Pullen on the 25th? ).

Yeh thats Luke Chable for you lol!
Had a great night! Gav Keitel played a wicked set, Infusion was just great, JZ.. ROCKED!
Renegade.. It was a pleasure meeting you...!

i had a top night. infusion pumped it HARD! james z was rocking, kept us dancing until close (i didn't even realise what the time was!).

most memorable part of the night was going down the lift on the way out.. the thing was too full. we heard a loud BOOM BOOM and then the lift came to a halt. We all looked at each other and then broke into laughter. Somebody hit the emergency button and soon after the doors opened and we were almost mid level. There was enough room for everyone to climb down and out, and after a little resistance from the clueless bodyguards, walk down the stairs to the street.

Saw about 40 minutes of him..

wow

good to catch up with some of u guys...
and good to see Quinn PLaying well at the end.

Dunno if it was an official one, but yeah a fair few of the DJs went there straight after Room. I think I remember seeing it advertised as the official after party on ITM or something (which must've been how I'd heard of it) but I'm not sure.

In any case, never again...

You too.

Posted by matt.h on Jun-15-2004 06:35:

it was advertised on -some- flyers, and also the futureent site that the official afterparty was at evo.

Cmon Wade, surely you know if it was recorded or not? I might never hear a set that good ever again!

Yeah whole night was recorded by Grant. Unfrotunatley I don't have access to his FTP (where he keeps all sets, regardless of approval). If it gets broadcast on his Proton Radio show, it'll be around the interweb.

I'm ITCHING for a copy of the infusion set.

Hey only put stuff in there post his .Audio show, so it wasn't as fresh as the lucky 4-5 with FTP access.

I'm sure the sets will come out with time, I don't care if I wait 3-6 months, all 3 sets are A+ (maybe Zabs gets a B for crowd interaction, music selection/progression etc, but technically he's back @ A+ )

Grants FTP died not too long ago, which is why hes not on slsk anymore, and why the ftp isnt in operation atm.... he's currently trying to get back most of what was lost (hes had a bad run with computers of late including a stolen laptop which had a few unbacked-up live sets on it, etc..).

Anyway as soon as i can worm my way to getting a copy of this stuff - ill pass it round...

Thanx 4 the info mate! Didn't see Grant there @ all over the night (nor did I see Simon Bell or any T:Ler who I thought would of recorded it), yet I did see a mixer @ the back that appeared to be used for recording (unless they were running 3 mixers for some reason?).

BTW Hope that miagrain's gone. I certianly danced hard enough for us both (and bumba)

Yeah the migraine passed (eventually).... was pissed off that i had to leave early (very pissed off - for multiple reasons )!! What mashup did James do at the end???

I know that Grant recorded James's Canberra gig and he was their along with most of the t:Ler's but to be honest i only saw them at the start (just before Tyler Stadius played) and i didnt see grant go back stage so i have no idea if any of the Rennaisance sets were recorded! I will ask and try and find out though!

I really wish I had gone to this

Posted by djway on Jun-15-2004 13:07:

He played the bjork track from his essential mix as his last 2nd last track...he then played a clip he made that he tweaked the shit out of saying something like thank you for listening to James Zabiela.

if Vito/Andrew got 12 tracks all night and they are REALLY in2 their acid and techno, I had no chance.....I only knew a few Infusion tracks and that's all I knew from the whole night really (picked about 3-4 from their essential mix)

Posted by gilmista on Jun-15-2004 13:19:

noones mentioned any tracks that were played? I could imagine Zabiela's set would be hard to ID but what did Infusion whip up?
