Amazing!!! 4 pages of nothing but positive comments! Now I must buy this album. Nice to see everyone actually likes it. So far I've only heard Sublime & Right of Way, both of which I like. Hopefully Star Traveller lives up to all this hype.

The reason that Indigo is not on the album is the same reason that Spaceman is not on the album. Spaceman was released under his alias "System F" and Indigo was released under "4x4". I think Ferry decides which alias to release each track under by the sounds or styles he uses to create them. I hope this helps some of the confusion.

thats not true.
Indigo was released under his own name.
It was under the name "4x4" on his world tour tokio CD but I guess the 4x4 alias is much like the funk einzatz alias.

I was trying to throw that out as an idea, guess i just phrased it wrong. either way i do think its a possibility. this cd would go perfectly with indigo at the end.

It's out!

I just bought it at the Freerecordshop

Very good album with alot great tracks. Liked very much 'Kyoto'... it's maked in true Ferry Corsten-style. 'Holding on' is nice too.

Posted by Kinde on Nov-01-2003 21:40:

There are a couple of nice tracks in this album, especially Sweet Sorrow, Star Traveller and Hearts Connected... I might even be tempted to buy this cd if there weren't tracks like Punk and Rock Your Body Rock... I just can't stand them. I was also suprised to hear that Skindeep is basically Ferry's remake of Harland's track Skin... I liked the original version better though...

i'm really likin sublime with that thrillseekers sound and holding on, love the vocals in holding on, i think it's the best vocal track on the cd

Sublime is the best track! Kyoto isn't bad either.
Haven't listened to all tracks yet though

tracklisting looks very promising, ill be sure to get my hands on this album when i come accross it

Ferry corsten - Holding On (Vocals by Shelley Harland) is the only track on the album that amazed me...punk/rybr are still good though

Posted by SuperFarStucker on Nov-02-2003 23:26:

I imagine the edits aren't too bad, there is only 14 tracks on the album which leaves nearly six minutes of space per track... It's bearable, haven't heard yet, but mildly excitied about the proposition.

Rasta

definitely THE MOST original EDM album out of all the artists albums released by this year's top DJs/Producers. It's got trance, electro, breaks, uk garage, and other shit that doesn't really have a category for it yet. 76 was a joke compared to this album, and Armin was my favorite DJ/producer at the time 76 was released. In Reflections PvD tried to be original, but he failed miserably on some tracks. His normal stuff was alright.

sweet sorrow -> 1st verse (breaks) + 2nd verse (buildup) are a mazing... 3rd verse doesn't flow well right after imo although the melody itself good. definitely has the most potential out of all the tracks if someone does a good remix.

sublime -> nice track... could potentially be awesome if somebody did a great remix for it (*cough* ABOVE AND BEYOND *cough*)

star traveler -> potential classic right there if someone made a better remix of it.

kyoto -> nice track indeed... but i could swear that i've heard the same buildup from another track before and the release from a different track. just can't remember which tracks i'm talking about.

holding on -> i need more time to understand the lyrics... a bit hard to make out. needs a great remix (*cough* Gabriel & Dresden *cough*) in order for it to be spinned on the decks.

whatever -> explains for itself. i'm extremely picky about my taste in garage/lo-fi/trip-hop stuff. Can't picute it being popular anywhere else outside of the europe pop charts.

right of way -> great buildup track... doesn't need much remixing imo

hearts connected -> one of the few tracks that i don't get at all. horrible vocals and the electro/trance mix doesn't tickle me at all.

PUNK - NEED I SAY MORE?

It's Time -> Not here in the US. The freestyle days for most places are over (even tho i still love it).

show your style -> sorry... the breaks/vocals combo just doesn't do it for me at all.

skin deep -> awesome vocals... awesome track to end any set with imo

in my dreams -> awesome lo-fi/breaks track

OFF TOPIC
---------
darude - rush [www.darude.com] is probably the most underrated album of the year because of how sandstorm got played out. only 1 track on it used the same synths as sandstorm!

Posted by nettwerk on Nov-03-2003 21:58:

OK... I though this album was worse.
For me, it's a solid 8.0/10... just because of 2 musics that, IMHO... just don't fit in: Holding On and Skindeep.

Posted by P00F on Nov-03-2003 22:53:

It's OK...

Reflections was much more consistent. You can listen to it as an album and think it's a mix set. Reflections was better than Right of Way.

76 similarly better than Right of Way. Although I appreciate PvD's originality more, 76 was satsifying. It's something you can chill to.

This is a decent album but not up there with Refl and 76.

You can import it from a good music store (or online) for a hefty sum. I've heard rumors of a US release early next year, so I'm holding out to see if that happens before shelling out cash to get it across the Atlantic.

got my copy last wed and it was worth every penny, simply awesome.... best artist album i've heard since OTAB and in my memory. ferry has put out some beautiful melodies and very touching lyrics at times. highly recommend, shipping isn't too bad as long as you order a bunch at dancegrooves
