icey was around breaks when you were still sucking on your mom's nipple, so stfu.

you're such a judgemental bitch and you dont respect OTHER peoples OPINIONS on music (in this case funky breaks, sorry its not nuskool). you think you are the only one who knows good breaks, and andy lemme tell ya something, you are VERY wrong.

now please, keep the bullshit to yourself, no one really cares.

Posted by rainbow_marble on Nov-16-2003 20:46:

well, i just bought the new BT album.. so id have to say #2 on that cd named 'Knowledge of Self'... i also really like Icey - Grand Canyon Suite and i like JXL - 100.

Good choice. Guru from Gangstarr raps on it. Gangstarr is the shit.

Posted by bluE_Neon on Nov-17-2003 00:04:

1) DJ Icey is florida breaks and he is the cheese master
2) Florida breaks are horrible!
3) Best breaks DJ - Adam Freeland...Rennie Pilgrem is awesome too but lacks a bit in originality in his sets

Posted by whiskers on Nov-17-2003 00:05:

can't believe no one really mentioned hybrid (except kiss100 comments)

andy, what's wrong with you?

www.hybridized.org - 6 gigs of hybrid sets up for dl, i'm on my 5th one today and i'm loving it!

Posted by PatMcGroin on Nov-17-2003 00:40:

fuck whoever says florida breaks suck. you can suck my big fat cock.

just cuz you dont like it or understand it (imo) gives you no right to say it sucks. why is this forum always a constant battle against assholes like that? "this sucks, that sucks." HOW ABOUT YOUR MOM SUCKS MY BIG FAT COCK! god damn it. i swear, some people really piss me off, with the same old stupid uneducated shit. "this sucks."

thats all you assholes can ever say! WHY DOES IT SUCK? say you dont like the beat, or the melody, or the vocals, whatever, but you ass fucks NEVER back up your statements. its just "this sucks, that sucks." you NEVER say why! and the reason is, because you dont understand it.

i'll say this about florida breaks though, if all you've ever heard is what the masses play, then OF COURSE IT FUCKIN SUCKS! there is A LOT of chessey florida breaks, but once you get past all that shit and find the producers that make the good shit, infiniti, dave london, rick west, etc etc, THEN you can actually hear the good shit. but no one ever fuckin bothers to expand their horizons. its always "OMFG OMFG PVD, OMFG OMFG AVB, OMFG OMFG ATRC" or some bullshit. most people dont give it a chance, and thats why it "sucks."

and adam freeland is NO FUCKING WAY the best breaks dj. yeah, hes good, and i actually enjoy adam's sets very much, but no fuckin way. i've heard so many more sets better than ANY of his.

and rennie pilgrem, he's an AWESOME fuckin producer and remixer, but djing, kiss my fuckin ass. have you ever even heard a rennie set?

i swear some people talk so much shit straight outta their asses, and its always so easy to dish out, and thats what pisses me off. people LOVE to critize, esp crap that they dont know ANYTHING about

*end of rant*

Posted by Psionic on Nov-17-2003 00:51:

......anyway, this Adam Freeland Essential Mix is owning me right now (from this year)

Nicely said PMG, DJ Icey isn't that bad afterall, I admit that he is not as good as Adam and Renne, but still he did some great remixes and produce some nice florida breakz too. My fravorite track from him is 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and his remix of Music Instructor's Flying Steps

hmm.. I don't think DJ Icey has any side projects..does he?

yeah, i mean there are some icey tracks that i fuckin HATE but regardless icey still has a ton of atleast decent tracks, and a few that are i mean icey isnt my fav, but i hate people that use him as an example to talk shit about.

and no, i dont think he does any side projects, i mean he does have like a release every two weeks, icey is insane.

florida breaks is the best breaks to breakdance to...all u fat asses who dont like florida breaks..need to get in shape and get your groove on with baby anne

Posted by torontotrance on Nov-17-2003 02:38:

Let's backtrack here

How the hell am I an asshole and an idiot because I rather listen to nu skool breaks than the cheesy crap that DJ Icey spins and produces. Let's think here, I rather listen to Adam Freeland, Ils, Evil9, Hybrid, Rennie Pilgrem and others rather than the florida breaks deejays. It's not an elitest position, I rather listen to the nu skool breaks style and the deejays that come with it rather than the florida style breaks which I have never enjoyed, I have given it a shot over the years and more than once. It just does not appeal to me and yet you decide to jump all over me.
