the square guy rocked, because if you did his special move, nobody could hit you

hell yeah Mondos ring or something like that.. only problem was most games back then u had to type in a code or something. ( like for Kings Quest IV it alwasy asked what the third word of the fifth paragraph on page 2 or something like that..) luckily i had the manual for Kings Quest IV but not for Tongue of the Fatman..

I didnt have the manual for Monday Night Football either so i couldnt play that either

police quest was fun, but all i could do was take a shower and go to the breifing room, i think i would always die when i tried to drive the car, but i forget. that had to be over 15 years ago since i last played that game. and the computer it ran on was so old, the DOS system.

You had to walk around the police car and check it over before you drove it. It will say "Now that you have done the prescribed safety walk around of your vehicle you are now ready to hit the streets of Lytton"

haha i know it took me a long time to figure that out.. i used to get mad

I played those games in Junior High School.

Yes... Carmen Sandiego was a great TV show. It's a shame that the woman who played the chief past away a while ago.

I've played Number Munchers, Carmen Sandiego, Montezuma's Revenge, Prince of Persia, even WOF. However, there were three games that I really loved. One was a game that involved shooting down airplanes and helicopters and you are given special ranks after each level. Also, there was a game of where you dropped bombs or smoething on top of a cattle wagon and it goes fast with every level passed. Another one is a game where you shoot cannon balls at each other.

Anybody know?

Oh, I as well played Shufflepuck and Hangman.

Oh man, I loved that game...probably the first hockey video game that had fighting in it. What the hell were they saying when you passed the puck?..."Get the pass"?

Indeed ID software and Wolfenstein 3-D,a classic. I hate when people say DOOM was the first 1st person shooter, DOOM may have been groundbreaking at the time, but Wolf 3-D was the first.. at least i think so
i cant think of any other 1stperson shooter games before wolf 3-d. Can anyone prove me wrong?

I think it was just some weird sound effect that was supposed to sound like they were saying somthing, but really weren't.

Nope, Wolf 3-D was the first one...it was good for it's time but DOOM was killer...ID also made DOOM. Too many hours to count of my childhood were spent playing DOOM.
