Nope, Tiesto played it in full, right before Lethal Industry.
Street Spirit remix is my favourite 2003 Tiesto work!
He also played one of he's new productions [2nd track Innercity 2003].

Yeah we wish!!!! Nah it will be the standard 2-3 hours. Paul is too old for those long stints now hehehehe Can't wait to see ya again Camz!!! Was so much fun partying with you last year. I guess Helen isn't making the trip this time - where is she anyways? Seems like she fell off the face of the earth......

nah this was a while ago when J00F sent him the promo.

Man J00F and Tiesto in one night, now that would be my dream night!

King

Here's a few tunes that I think Tiesto played that I haven't seen mentioned on here:

Choopie & Shmuel Sunrising (original mix)
Mark Norman Stream
Fictivision vs Phynn Escape (Phynn mix)

These are on the recent DJmag CD.....well worth a listen if you haven't already....

Well what an awesome night!

Got there to catch Steve Strangis play vs Nick Compound. Not the best match up but Steve did make the most of it! Some choice tunnage played by Steve and I could tell he was having fun up there!

Then caught up with Philby, Paulie, Jane and others outside for a well needed hotdog, chips, coke, donuts and coffee! Had a chat with everyone and headed in to catch Mark James! Great work; he knows how to do it! Awesome set played appropriate tracks in true Mark James style! (good to hear ATRC and Binary Finary on main stage -big system) Left just as Master Kaos got on and Breathing (breaks mix) finished! Didn't want to hear any hard trance at all! Tired of it really! The lineup was a mish mash and needed more thought and follow through! It definately stuffs around with the vibe especially when I was with my fiance and her friend and they were saying "what the hell is this guy playing after mark james and then before tiesto!!!!" Well...what more can I say! I didn't believe Jason Midro played appropriate tracks for a warmup to tiesto! Steve Strangis or Mark James were ideal candidates!!! My opinion anywayz!

Roger Sanchez was ripping it apart dropping bomb after bomb....great charisma on the decks and a top bloke to boot!

then.....found the rest of the crew (the trance family hehe) and settled in the VIP area on the stage for 3 1/2 hours of pure tiesto styles! Good to catch up with Stips after a long leave of absence also at least you still luv it buddy! The usual suspects were there and I managed to help a couple others to catch a close up glimpse of Tiesto....my good deed for the year Luved Tiesto all the way from start to finish and the man has awesome stage presence!!! Good to hear him mix it up and really give it to the crowd! Pity he played Sydney first! We missed out on Magik Journey...but made up for it nonetheless! Took approx 130 photos and have some closeups of tiesto in action to die for! Managed to get my rekkids signed...thanks Steve for that!! Appreciate it!!

Too much to say not enough time to type...my short review anywayz to what was an AWESOME FUTURE ENTERTAINMENT party (aside from the lineup issues)....Maybe next time Tiesto can play in Melbourne outdoors somewhere during our summer?! who knows? That would be awesome!

ohh....and thanks to Ben Evans for the tix at short notice!!! You rule broz!

NEXT..........ARMIN VAN BUUREN!!! CAN'T WAIT!

Yes!
Theres ALOT of QUESTs in Melbourne hehe
Don't tell you stayed there too?

was there from 30th to the 2nd. Room 605. Think we were the loudest room - ran such a muck haha

Posted by narcism on Jan-06-2004 12:16:

ok, its been bugging me abs and i had a discussion over this
does anyone remember right at the back of the main room, on the roof the big blown up thing...
im calling it a thing coz we disagreed on what it was
i thought it was a devil of some sort, abs said it was a rhino???

Did anyone else take notice of this hahaha?

Posted by Hybrid Junkie on Jan-06-2004 13:30:

At first I thought it was a huge Astroboy, which I thought was pretty cool.

On closer inspection I was disappointed to discover, it was, just, a lowly rhino.

Maybe I'm not up to date with my symbolism but I'm not sure what a Rhino had to do with NYE or Tiesto... but hey

Was Mark Norman - STream PLayed? - its one of my favs but I didnt think I heard it

Posted by webmeister on Jan-06-2004 21:59:

That's something I still don't get about Melbourne events - I just can't see how a blow-up rhino adds anything to the atmosphere of a party....

I'd rather they spent an extra thousand bucks on the sound system, but maybe that's just me....

it keeps the annoying kandy kids occupied and happy....meaning more space up front of the dancefloor

Posted by Paulie on Jan-07-2004 00:03:

I dont mind it when theres shit like that floating around, adds to the nite really, just fills the room up making it a little more intimate, maybe not a rhino though :P

LOL @ all the prejudice towards kandy kids on this board. You know what just like with muzzas get the fuck over it, i did i moved on and they make the the nite more colorful imo. So to back up the kandy kids get the fuck over it.

I'm wondering why you guys like inflatable rhinos and shit dangling from the ceiling, I don't see how that's prejudice against kandy kids?
