Aphex Twin actually left an mp3 player (harddrive) on a plane with ALL his new tunes that he was working on, that's what "28 mixes for Cash" (latest album) was released as apparently.

Well I normally work on saturdays, I just found out that I have it off, so I think I might come and check this out. As for the comment I made of richie being talented... "sometimes", I was referring to that review, almost made me sick. He is a very talented dj/producer and one of the best djs i have ever seen live, but when i read that review and heard his most recent productions. Thats where the "sometimes" came in.

I was lucky enough to see him 4 times during the Decks/EFX/909 tour.. 2 of them count as the best shows I've seen in my 10 yrs of edm partying.

I'm kneeling in front of my music collection praying for something similar in enjoyment, but not sound(it is afterall a Plastikman tour) Though I'm doubtful.

I can always hide in the Breaks room with Saddler and Chu if need be

Is it just me or do all djs sound basically the same in the system main room? It's as if the owner tells them what he wants or something (though I know that's not true)~~

It's just you

System strives for a certain sound in each of their rooms, but there are different sounds on different nights.

Breathe Fridays are Prog in the main, breaks in the back, trance/house in VIP (generally)

Bang Saturdays are Tribal House in main, funky house in VIP, Jungle ni the back.

Wednesday is Loose I think, which is jungle.

As someone who promoted for Lotus (I think you did anyway) is it really that surprising a certain night in a certain club aims for a certain sound? That's essentially the way clubs tend to operate in the non top-40 scene, be they R&B, Prog, Trance, House, etc.

I'm just saying that all the DJs who spin at System's main room end up having the same sound for whatever reason. And no you couldn't really say that for Lotus....Mark Oliver spun there and you know how he loves to tease you with the variety....Look at government....they have better parties because they're more VARIED!!!

The techno DJs Ihave heard at system have never ever sounded the least bit progressive.

have you tried going to fukhouse? perhaps that woul dbe more to your liking rather than breathe fridays.

i would like to go to see sarah mixington. If I can hack it financially I will come by.

last party was great.. had some sick canadian talent come back from germany. nice ppl and nice vibe.

the best night at system is fuckhouse for sure....i loved the vibe and the people. I'd rather pay my $ and get the music in my face rather than in my ears.
I love proggressive, don't get me wrong. When i'm driv'n or what ever, i listen to a lotta progressive. But when i'm pay'n sometimes upwards to 80$ a night, i want it IN MY FACE

last time it was some sick ass minimal techno.. so dark and loury.. i loved it!!

also, if you guys love the windowlicker vid check out Richard's vid for Come to Daddy Pappy Mix. It's even more hardcore than the window licker vid! Also Squarepusher's vid for "Come on My Selector" is so cool.

It says on the poster (thanks John & Emery ) that it's a party for his album Closer. It's not going to be techno, it will should be like the stuff from his album.
