Had a ball. Was different to previous Armin sets but hey, he plays i listen.

Highlight after building up for a while dropped 1998 and the place went fucking beserk. Wicked mix of it and brought back some serious memories of the first time i heard it out in perth.

Pretty good crowd in there for a Sublime night.

Might have to think about going back to see Tiesto in April.

I haven't had such a great night in a long time!

Like most of you I'd been looking forward to this for over a month, and I'm glad it all worked out so well.

I got there at around 11pm and got in around 11:30pm. Jumping Jack played a couple of nice uplifting tracks in his set (what were they?).

When Armin got on I decided to get into the crowd. The atmosphere was electric, and I certainly contributed to the collective euphoric vibe with my big cheesy grin and the "woohoo" screams.

I only found a few tranceaddicts... erratik, webmeister, romp, Spang, S_madis, found misstrance passing by, saw pinkhelmet up the front taking photos when I was further back. I saw Cam up on stage. I wasn't up the front much because I was all around the place between different groups of friends, and was bumping into a lot of old friends too. I found a few trancetribers and inthemixers too, which was nice.

I can't remember much of what he played since my mind was way out up there. but I know that I thouroughly enjoyed most of the set. Some great tracks I do remember were Motorcycle - As the rush comes and Oceanlab - Satellite. He played some other deeper (but not slow) stuff too that I liked. I want to find out what they were.

I'm worried that I missed some good tracks when I went upstairs to the balcony for a while... Nitromethane - Time to die was one I missed I think. Though djway, I'd never walk out and leave the place in the middle of an Armin set! You must have missed quite a bit. That's just not acceptable!

Thanks for the photos waXology and djway. There are some nice photos.
I like this one:

I think the lasers were often moving so fast that they they appear blurred in photos. I think mine are like that too. I still have to check out how my photos turned out. I have a feeling they are lacking in artistic merit compared to my previous endeavours. In hindsight I would've liked to have taken a tranceaddict group shot with Armin in the background, like I did at Two Tribes last year, but I think you guys were spread out, it's not an easy thing to coordinate!

I know you many of you love the classics (seven cities, 1998, communication, for an angel, etc), and I like them too, but I think my ears (and mind) are bored of these and so they don't excite me much anymore.

I'd prefer that Armin (and other DJs that we go see) spent the precious time playing other great tracks that we haven't heard as often or at all. There are so many excellent tracks out there, old and new, that haven't had as much exposure.

I want some Fire & Ice, Airwave, Push/M.I.K.E., Cosmicman, Rapid Eye, Above & Beyond etc!

I would have loved to hear:
Rusch & Murray - Epic
Hydra - Affinity
Pulsar - My religion
Euphonic - Sahara
Fire & Ice - San antonio
Push - Live another life

I really hope more melodic trance events are held at Home based on the obvious success of Friday night.

No matter what some of you think about the guys behind Home nightclub, the fact remains that it is an excellent venue with a superb sound system.

I think last Friday night was the first time I actually experienced great melodic trance at Home, and it sounded so good, I absolutely loved it.

Was an awesome night, everything that needs to be said has already been said.

Judging by the tracklist, its a shame I missed the last hour.

Still, the night was

GTR - Mistral

Haha yeah I got that taken last year at Two Tribes, a really great photo!

Hey I had a tune that was stuck in my head from Friday night, I just realised it was Super8 - Alba (I'm listening to it right now). I went crazy to this track!

Producers who DJ (that's what they are still!) are always going to play their tracks (remix or track). It's what made them famous, and what the crowd loves them for. So leave communication and seven cites in for armin, take out 1998 (even tho it was a new remix). In regards to tracks that are new, how many tracks in 5 hours did we ID? I got a feeling there's some killer new tracks there.

Nearly every1 who went to Mobile Home said "Silence" was the night (the track of course). That's a classics, being played by the producer..

I agree w/ u about the classics, but if it's the producer who made it or remixed it, they should play their work (IMHO)

that's it! ch00n!!

i began the night at Beecroft station 10 minutes early for the train, an hour later i'm still sitting there when cityrail graces the station with its punctual message "the trains do not work because of the lightning, we do not know when they will be fixed" typical

so nicknack and i drove into the city and missed a turnoff and became stuck in an endless array of labyrinthine one way streets (he was stupid enough to entrust tathi with a map )

we found ourselves inside Home at about 11, and began our quest in finding TTers, TAers, ITMers and MCAers. While navigating the crowd we encountered some unusual behaviour, a guy in white passed a note containing an ID of a song to a guy in red, this type of conduct is exhibited only in the most hardcore of ravers, i believe we had found a tranceaddict?! Unfortunately we were needed elsewhere and it was not until i spotted him later that i realised that the guy in the red was none other than the infamous webmeister closely guarded by his faithful tranceaddict coterie, all further attempts to contact him proved futile :/

I began Armins set front center, I lost a metre every 5 minutes, only then did i realise the amazing amount of talent it takes to actually stay at the front. It was not until i was flanked by the most terrifying sight known to ravers that i decided to relocate. "Armins Army" was closing in leaving me no choice but to retreat. I abandoned all social etiquette and pushed my way to the front and didn't move from there for the rest of the night.

About 4 hours through the set i noticed waxology dancing beside me, i recognised him from his pic in the tiesto review thread, my throat was raw from screaming all night so i introduced myself with my mobile phone (isn't technology amazing? )

The night was amazing, i met alot of great people, unfortunately only one TAer, but there is always next time

Highlights: Binary Finary, Urban Shakedown, As the rush comes, Sattlelite, Communication

Everything has pretty much been said. i had a great night all up. i think for the first time i heard the entire set without wandering off on some random adventure (until armin finished )

The crowd was going nuts. Like the sublime guy said at the end..they have never seen the place so pumping before.

i heard the tracks i wanted to hear- Rio klien- Fearless, Bosanova- Stonecold and Relocate- Waterfall so i had a good night. Some of his mixing was a bit off at the end but that may be expected after 5 hours of power.

Best hands in the air moment for me was 7 cities. Top stuff.

Also he played Mr Sam vs Fred baker- Forever waiting with Andain- Summer calling Acapella and Mr sam vs Tim Coltrane- One more day. Nice.

All up a great weekend with all day saturday spent on a mates motor boat cruising the waterways and drinking beer.

Till next time you crazy people

Hahaha Beemer that's crazy! It's almost like seeing every 10th frame of a video of Armin (and Armin only, just as pinkhelmet's top said... it must have had an influence on you!).

I don't doubt it was me, but I just have no recollection of someone handing me a bit of paper :/

Posted by tathi on Jan-25-2004 13:59:

hehe, i cant blame you after the night we had

the guy who did it was big white shirt, maybe collared? blonde hair, you had your backs facing me, so i didn't realise it was you until i saw your face and recognised the same shirt

hey, maybe i'm just fucked in the head? either is plausable

Posted by Psygnosis on Jan-25-2004 14:13:

Posted by Beemer on Jan-25-2004 16:47:

hmm, i can't sleep so was goin thru all the armin vids i took to id which tracks he played when.....i found one we missed in the tracklisting so far....he didn't play just one Katana track - after Katana - Tribal Shock he mixed right into Katana - One Solid Wave....he played one at 3.10, the other at 3.20......One Solid Wave is the much techier banging one with the echoey girl's voice goin "I...I...I...I" (or sumthin *lol*) It goes offfff in the vid - it was when they were flashing the lights on and off......

So, add that to the list Cam
