omg, what is this? since when you should date someone who likes the same music as you? thats just stupid.

if you can't see the benefits of dating someone who has similar tastes in music, having this discussion with you is a bit hopeless i think...think about it even for a second. don't you and your friends have similar interests?

Posted by DeviantxPete on Jan-29-2004 06:20:

I'll listen to trance, but I won't force it down some other person's throat (or ears). If they want to listen to so and so, then fine with me. But yeah, it'd be A LOT easier to date someone with the same music interests as you do. What would you do if your gf/bf blasted hip-hop/happy hardcore/Wesley Willis/(whatever you hate) while you were driving? Exactly. Except I think Wesley Willis is the shit

I think our friend Mister []o=o[] was employing a bit of something we here like to call "sarcasm". Relax.

i used to live in a semirural hellhole known as Sudbury, Massachusetts and I wouldn't be surprised to find out that I was the only TA for 50 miles in any direction.

having the same musical interests with someone else makes it really easy to make friends or whatever.
i send TONS of songs to ppl. :P and one of the first things i ask when meeting new ppl is what they listen to.

and hm...i don't think i'm the only trance listener around. and hong kong is one small ass city. XD
annd.. i've gotten a few of my friends addicted to trance too.

your obviously not that much into dance music, because if you were you would understand that having the same taste in music as someone opens up a very good friendship in most cases.dance music is a very big part of my life and i really love meeting people that have the same taste as me and the same interests.
p.s. your beeing a complete twat to everyone on this thread.every opinion someone has you totally slag them off and disagree.its ok to disagree but your beeing an arrogant ******.

how did this turn into a 'hate thread' .. i thought the topic was about being the only tranceaddict in town .. there are many edm lovers here in new orleans. sadly, they all follow the mainstream stuff, like darude, alice deejay, sylver, oakenfold stuff ('ready set go', 'hypnotised' .. etc ...), and etc etc .. nobody really listens to the good stuff that is not mainstream radio ..

Hell no, there are plenty of trance fans where I live (about 15 miles from Sheffield, hello Gatecrasher).

And although many of my friends think trance is what you find on Clubland, all of them enjoy it. Even one of my friends who is a massive punk rock and ska fan enjoys trance.

life was better without netwerkd/aplz/terayon....

before i left for university, everyone in my hometown thought of trance music as "that techno crap" which sounds like "a broken record"...disgusting...if people like that would just take the time to actually LISTEN to the song rather than criticize it...i get very frustrated at times

my problem exactly, however if i were to say come were off to gatecrasher to see armin van buuren theyd be like who? wheres ultrabeat playing? grrr, anyway i think here in england proper trance gets no where near enough coverage, i i wish it had enough coverage so that ppl will go and buy a magik album instead of clubland extreme but thats not gonna happen, so i live with it. oh and that track close to the edge by solex, my mate sed to me the other week have you heard this its so good ect ect. i replied the following..
a) iv been listening to that for ages so yes i have heard it and...
b) it sounds like the sick lovechild of jurgen vries
this just proves my point exactly he would have heard it ages ago if proper trance got more coverage
