Henri Cartier Bresson is one of my fave photographers, and I love his surrealist style.

He might be dead though he's so old, but that's certainly within the last 100 years.

And of course, let us not forget Jean Michel Jarre, one of the founding fathers of electronic music.

I've never felt prouder to be an Australian. Actually, scrap that. A survey showed that we're the biggest 'pill consuming' nation in the world awhile back. I felt overly nationalistic when I heard that as well.

i've read statistics saying that Australia is also the most sex obsessed nation on earth aswell :P

thats an amazing photo

In England it is customary to shout "GO ON MY SON!!!"

I these attitudes are a lot to do with religion (or lack of it in our case). In America they are quite religious so certain things are not acceptable, yet in countries where there is no religion, we hav no such constraints so do what we please. Is one society better than the other tho?

I know what you mean. When Im on a bench in the park with my fiance Polly the sheep making out, people always do thumbs up or give me jealous looks.

You got to be kidding me. Some of my favorite movies are from France, Lon: The Professional (Luc Besson is AWSOME!), La Femme Nikita, Amelie, and The Triplets of Belleville. But I guess you like shitty movies like the Rice and Ridiculous or Arrrnold movies.

The american version for

A french concept invented in the last ten years, but you can't understand due to your lack of culture...

Stop surfing the big waves and stop watching Fox news and go to school and read some books. You will understand a lot of things about France and above all, about what you really are

Do not despair: There's Asterix and Lucky Luke. In fact, any comic written by Ren Goschinny is gold IMO.

Heh, I didn't know Lucky Luke was french. Now for Tin Tin, well, it's belgian, but it's written in french, so I guess France does take a bit of credit for it too. But now, thinking of Asterix, some other great french comics come to my mind, like Gaston and especially the adventures of Spirou and Fantasio. I guess the french haven't lost their artistic touch after all

Aye, we love getting hold of a fine young lamb from the paddock, and showing them the ropes, so to speak.

Oh, wait, I'm thinking of New Zealand.
