Smile Tongue

Dled it. Sounds good. I'd give it a 7.8/10 Build up is a bit too long though, otherwise I'd give it an 8. Does anyone know if PVD spun this or the pvd edit at Energy 2003? I have the set and this song sounds similar, but a little different.

.. definitley two of the best tunes of the year (askew's remix and terry and fred's original).. both solid 10s..

askew just can't stop with the quality productions, can he?

p.s.: it's also g00d seeing germans dominating the scene again.. go get 'em terry... =)

Good quality productions indeed. My only complain is this lately custom of him of not including a proper climax on his remixes, or simply the lack of them that forces a few of us to edit them. Examples:

Ronski Speed - Iris
Castaneda - Floor Control

and now instrospection, but he's still good.

.. its just not formulaic trance .. that's it. it's askew-style trance..

I Don't mind long build-ups as long as its not too repetitive, but in this case the John Askew remix really takes you on a journey and a beautiful one might I add. Definitely one of my favorite Progresive Epic kind of trance this year. And John Askew is indeed the MAN!

It's not a big complain, and it's not about "formulaic trance", hell I love the track, but he leaves a wide space for improvement IMO.

yea this still ownz

I agree completely. Bangin' tune!!!
Although don't you think that the PVD Re-edit has so much more energy to it? It's a lot slower than what i heard on energy 2003. PVD always ups the BPM for his mixes. But it sounds better at high BPM anyways!!!!
Is the Re-edit of the Askew mix out as well?
I just got my hands on the John Askew Mix a month ago.
Listening to ATM:
Timeok - Seven Floating Ways(Octagen Remix)
Mr. Phillips - Stay Alive(Original Mix)
Bubble Fish - Sushi Lovers(Dave Joy Remix)
Yahel - Avalanche(Senses Remix)
Chicane - Saltwater(Cj Stone Mix)
Firewall - Sincere(Lange Vocal Mix)
Filo & Peri Present Empire State - Niagara (Filo & Peri Bangin' Mix)

I doubt his re-edit is gonna be pressed, since it's not a big of a modification, but there must be edits from other's floating around as "cdrs promos", heh, that's as far as it might go I think.

quality tune, finally got my copy last week. still cant stop playing it despite having been listening to it off pvd sets from the last6-9 months.

Posted by Cobalt on Mar-23-2004 18:07:

Ahahahaha, Vandit screwed up the pressing versus the labeling! You'd think that having so much time on their hands they would get the fuking tracklist right. Lazy, lazy Vandit!

Labeling/pressing problems aside, excellent productions, all three of them. I'm surprised that after hearing Introspection so much I'm listening to the vinyl repeatedly; the hallmark of a good production.

But hey, at least Vandit is releasing stuff now, even if they can't label them right.

Posted by arturob on Mar-23-2004 19:07:

wats wrong with the record???

Posted by raditz on Mar-23-2004 19:40:
