i was about to reply to that post as well, cause he missunderstood a bit ...
was having some difficulties on how to explain the differences n make it clear for everyone .

thats it !

Italians, Spanish, Portugueses ... our language came originaly from the latin ... n we suffered cultural influences from the Roman Empire for many many years... therefore we've got a lot in commun .
N nowadays we're called latins when to generalize.

I voted for latin accent cause i couldn't vote only for the italian, cause there r differences between our accents (portuguese is not a nice one ... n it sounds much better when spoken by brazilians)!!
italian is the most beuttiful languange to me, it just sounds great
...
