This thread is so much better

Haven't seen many movies lately.

Prozac Nation was really good. Hit a bit close to home as well, but I won't go into that... So really could identify with it, probably why I liked it heaps. (no, im not on antidepressants )

the last movie that made an impression on me (apart from the obvious ) was garden state. thought it was intelligent and it felt a lot realer than most flicks. 4.5 stars

yeah cant believe i almost missed this one. its one of my all time fav movies now. cant exactly pinpoint why though. the ending scene with frou frou's 'let go' is a killer... how perfect is it?

Posted by tachyon on Jul-06-2005 04:02:

went to see war of the worlds yesterday night..

wasnt bad, but not that great either

predictable at times and the conveniently disturbing happy ending (almost too happy to be believed)

fwiw, for that moment when the tripod graces the screen, that was pure awesomeness!!

7/10

Angelina Jolie - Tight Leather Action (And some nipple) :P

Posted by Aesthetic on Jul-06-2005 04:55:

mr and mrs smith one of the shittest movies ever.

i saw war of the worlds the other night, and the end kinda hit me abruptly, didnt like it that way.. the buildup was damn fine though.

+1 !!!

yeh the movie is alright. Jolie and Pitt work well together on screen (and in bed apparently).

...

Where's the Party Yaar?

i didn't like "Bride and Prejudice" but this one was hilarious!

There are quite a few Indian in-jokes but if you know about the culture or have Indian friends it's way more funnier.

I've got a write up of it here.
It doesn't have any spoilers in it.
You may have to scroll down a few entries, not hard to find.

And yeah I know, another fkn blog; I joined LJ just so I could read an entry a friend did, and then I started writing

Just saw Van Dammes "Wake Of Death"

Damn awesome, thats all i can say.

It's definetly his best movie ever made close to that all time classic "Bloodsport"

go watch it!

Oh also i was shown Kung Phooyeh or something like that. DONT WATCH IT!. well watch it if your those people that easily laugh at anything but it's a similar style to Kung Pow but at a lower, lower, lowerrrrrrr level of comedy.

kung pow was like 5 kinds of awesome. i loved it.

not sure if this ones been mentioned but it kinda slipped thru and i only had the recent pleasure of viewing it but i would dare say it will sweep next years oscars... WALKING TALL. will this be remembered as the vehicle that drove The Rock (THE is such an awesome name) into super stardom? if he and johnny knoxville dont go home with the main acting gongs respectively then well i just dont know what good acting is. (also honourable mention to the 2x4 who should also pick up best supporting actress).

House of wax - Paris Hilton wrecked the movie, what a craparola actor she was, loved it they way she got killed!
Over all 7 1/2 out of 10!
