Hey.. if it allows me to see global talent that would otherwise not be booked here - that's great and all I need.
heh, drgoodvibe and I did a little scouting and spying on the club today .. the main entrance still seems to be the old Playdium entrance.. we managed to peer inside , and the place still looks under some massive construction.
i kinda have opinions on the place both ways from what i saw .. but i guess i'll just let time tell

Good news from the inside guys.......
I did some scouting today. I went into the place and checked out their offices to talk to the receptionist, and she said aside from a nightclub, the place's gonna aim to host corporate events, and various other events that might need such an environment.
I Also spoke to an engineer and he showed me some skematics of the place and I looked at some skematics that were scattered on a counter while I was quietly snooping around the place... there's gonna be LOTSA lounge space, danceing space, a billiards area, etc.
It looks to be incredibly massive... I think it's about the same if not double the amount of room for people as the Guvernment has. There's 4 floors, escalators, and I was told they're aiming for 4 DJ booths. The place was just finished being demolished inside except for main structures, as I was told, and they're gonna start with infrastructure and electrical/utility work very soon. I'm not so sure they'll be done until the fall season.
I see this place as a definite competition to the Guvernment and I'm hoping they'll bring the massive talent we deserve to get in Toronto.
It's clear they're trying to stay hush-hush right now, so I won't give away any more details.
desidel and drgoodvibe.... did you guys actually go in or just look thru the windows??

This place could be a contender in the Toronto (and global) clubscene if it meets these critieria:
-Stays open until at least 6am
-Doesnt have a dress code or at least only bans things like sports clothing and bandanas. (let the people decide their own style instead of the "cloning" that goes on in most Toronto clybs these days.
-If it isnt lit up like a supermarket (the massive screens and bright lighting could be troublesome)
-If it has cutting edge modern music (not just the crap on the radio)
-the sound and light show are state of the art (and im not just talking about plama screens.... i can watch tv at home)
PS LMAO at people saying that guvernment charges high prices. Toronto has some of the cheapest clubbing prices in the world and thats a fact.
